Be My Shine
BOYFRIEND released a short PV of their first Japanese single, Be My Shine on July 24, 2015. Then, on August 22, 2015, they released the song, and on August 30, they uploaded the full video on YouTube. The song is a collaboration between Japanese lyricist Goro Matsui and K-Pop music group producer, Sweet Tune.
BOYFRIEND’s Japanese debut single was ranked on the Oricon daily chart on the day of it launch and for the next two days. On August 25, Be My Shine was ranked first on the Oricon dialy chart, defeating Super Junior’s “Sexy, Free, and Single”, and famous Japanese singers. BOYFRIEND then skyrocketed to the top 5 on the Oricon chart to, shifting to position 1 on Tower Records ‘graphic single, HMV, Yamano Instrumen, and Shinseido Rankings’.
Love Style
Love Style was their first mini album after the day they debuted, and it was released on June 13, 2012. Love Style is a song that’s good to listen to when summer comes, and no one doubts that the song became popular.

The Start Up! music video was released on May 26, 2014, on Boyfriend’s Japanese YouTube channel, “BoyfriendJP”. If we hear this song, it can give us a sense of spirit to get back up, where the song tells of a girl who’s almost desperate. But, in the end, she found a key and a colorful chest which numbered six pieces, and after opening it, she finds things that could overcome the problem.
Sunshower
Sunshower was released on the day of their seventh anniversary. On May 25, 2018, they released the music video for Sunshower, and this song was dedicated for Besfriend (Boyfriend’s fans), who still remained loyal to them. Sunshower is a emotional ballad song with melodious vocals and rap from BOYFRIEND members.
This song was written by Jeongmin, Donghyun, Kwangmin, and Minwoo. Besides writing the lyrics, Jeongmin also participated in the arrangement process. This song made the fans (Bestfriend) cry when they heard it during the fanmeet which BOYFRIEND held on May 25, 2018, which was named “Time Capsule”.
I Miss You
I Miss You is a Japanese song, and is their ninth Japanese single. This single was released on February 22, 2017. The song tells the story of someone who is missing their girlfriend. The person has left him, but he will always love and miss her, no matter what. There won’t ever be a substitute for her.
The video clip is also really soft, and the members faces are very sad under the cold snow. They look like they’re losing their special girl and can’t move on.
White Day
White Day is a side track on their fourth EP, “Boyfriend in Wonderland” that was released on March 9, 2015. The song is a dance ballad, and with a cheerful touch to the music.
The lyrics of the song are about a teenager who falls in love at first sight, and it makes him look like a fool because he wants to chase the girl and make her fall in love. The atmosphere depicted from the song was like a soft-warm on the white-day. However, this song doesn’t have a music video.
Try My Wings
BOYFRIEND released this Japanese single in 2018, with the music video on February 18, 2018. That single is titled Try My Wings. The song is so amazing to listen to, especially to the rap part that is done by the rap line (Minwoo and Kwangmin). It makes the atmosphere of the song more lively, and super-amazing, as well.
