Get to Know TVXQ
TVXQ is a South Korean pop duo consisting of U-Know Yunho and Max Changmin. TVXQ are known as Tohoshinki (東方神起, Tōhōshinki) in Japanese releases, and are sometimes referred to as DBSK, an abbreviation of their Korean name Dong Bang Shin Ki (Korean: 동방신기). Their name roughly translates to “Rising Gods of the East.” TVXQ began as a five-member boy band composed of members U-Know Yunho, Max Changmin, Hero Jaejoong, Micky Yoochun, and Xiah Junsu. They were formed under SM Entertainment back in 2003. TVXQ raised to popularity with their hit songs, such as “Tri-Angle,” “Rising Sun,” “Mirotic,” and many more. Unfortunately, in 2009 members Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu filed a lawsuit against SM Entertainment and left the group, they have since gone on to form JYJ and have solo careers.
Not only they rose to popularity in Korea, but they also entered the Japanese market with their first Japanese album Heart, Mind and Soul (2006), which, unfortunately, met limited success under AVEX. TVXQ started 2012 with their comeback Japanese solo tour, the Tone tour, in January 2012. Tickets were sold out in a few minutes. Spanning a total of twenty-six shows in nine cities, the Tone Tour reached an audience of 550,000, more than twice the audience count of their 2009 Japanese tour, The Secret Code. TVXQ also became the third foreign artist, after Michael Jackson and the Backstreet Boys, to perform at the Tokyo Dome for three consecutive days, attracting crowds of over 165,000.

The reason you’re yourself
Is because you fly freely
In search of an answer
That nobody knows
Play a bolero
Lovingly, fleetingly, on your toes
Let even your sadness rise up
You’ll find a place where you can be healed

I want to hold you, I want to stay holding you
But you’re not mine
Now my distorted heart…
I want to hold you, I’m not allowed to hold you
Though I want you so much it’s overflowing, I’m melting
You hail a taxi and wave to me
Without making any promises…
Your voice and your slim shoulders
And your eyes aren’t mine
No matter how much time I spend by your side…
Unless I destroy your future
I can’t make this love a reality
A temporary dream, though I love you so much it hurts
The night is ending…
