Meanwhile, the former members were I-an, Soyeop, Garam, Wanlim, Chaki, and Hwi-a. It was revealed on July 17th, 2019, that Sha Sha had disbanded.

Sha Sha Former & New Members
On July 30th, 2018, Sha Sha announced member changes. Ian, Garam, and Soyeop were reported of leaving the group.
The representative from the group’s agency said:
“Respecting the personal opinions of the three Sha Sha members Ian, Garam, and Soyeop, their departure from the team has been decided after discussion.
A comeback is being prepared with new members to take the place of the three members who cannot continue together, and with the addition of Chinese and Japanese members, they will become a more global group.”
On May 25th, 2019, Sha Sha returned with 2 new members. Subin and Sunye were the latest addition, while, Wanlin left the group due to health issues.
The agency said:
“Sha Sha will be promoting from here on as a 7-member group; as two new members, Subin and Sunye will be joining the group in place of member Wanlin who has chosen to return to China due to health issues as well as personal reasons.”
Sha Sha Wanlin Faints On Stage
On August 23rd, 2018, Sha Sha’s Wanlin had to be rushed to the hospital after collapsing during a comeback showcase. At that time, Sha Sha members were holding a comeback showcase for their second single album What The Heck. This was their first comeback since the three original members of SHA SHA decided to leave the group.
Earlier, on July 30th, 2018, the agency of Sha Sha revealed that Ian, Garam and Soyeon left the group. The agency also announced that there would be additional members from China and Japan. That way, Sha Sha will become a more global group. The three new members who are members of Sha Sha are Hakyung, Chaki, and Wanlin. They were very enthusiastic to introduce themselves through this comeback showcase.
However, at the end of the showcase, Wanlin suddenly lost consciousness and fainted while on stage.

Other Sha Sha members were seen crying because they were shocked by what happened and did not know what they had to do with Wanlin. MC Ding Dong helped out as staff rushed to help Wanlin. The showcase event ended quickly because Wanlin had to be rushed to the hospital immediately.
A source from the Sha Sha agency said that Wanlin had indeed been sick since morning.
“Wanlin has been feeling unwell since this morning. But she showed a strong desire to stand on stage even though she wasn’t feeling well,” said the representative from Major Entertainment, Sha Sha’s agency. They explained that Wanlin’s nervousness towards the showcase might worsen her health condition.
The agency then informed Wanlin’s condition after the incident and the reason for her passing out on stage. After undergoing an examination at the hospital, the agency said, “The results of the examination showed that Wanlin fainted due to insufficient blood flow to the brain. We plan to conduct further tests to find out her health condition and to avoid complications.”
Thus, Wanlin was forced to be absent from group promotion activities, so Sha Sha will only do promotions with five members.

Sha Sha Official Disbandment
Girl group Sha Sha announced their disbandment in July 2019.
In fact, the official announcement on their Fan Café posted on July 17th, 2019, read:
“Hello, this is Major Entertainment.
SHA SHA is a girl group that debuted in 2018. We tried to give the public happiness and uplifting music through activities. However, there were various differences that came up about their concept. So, to be able to meet everyone’s views, we have talked to each of the members for a long time. The limit has been reached and thus it was decided that their activities will come to an end, and they will go their separate ways.
Thus, all of their SNS accounts will be closed today while this café will be closed on August 2nd, 2019. We are sorry to deliver such news to the fans who have been looking forward to their activities.
Thank you for showing the group love until now.”
