Produce X 101
Nam Dohyon (Hangeul: 남도현) is now an idol under the label MBK Entertainment. He joined the survival show Produce X 101 that led him into the finale where he got ranked 8th and debuted as a member of X1. Before joining this survival show, he had joined Nineteen, but he was unsuccessful, he got ranked 12th and was eliminated in Episode 9.

During Produce X 101, Nam Do-hyun performed “X1-MA,” “Monday to Sunday,” “To My World,” “Dream For You.”
At the end of 2019, there was an investigation about the unfair voting selection during the survival show Produce X 101. It was detected that the show selected the winner not based on the public votes as they had claimed. However, the participants were not involved in this situation; it was merely the organizers and the company behind the show. Since the controversial issue was getting hotter by the day, the disbandment of the group was unavoidable, and it took place on January 6th, 2020.
Debut With X1
Nam Do-hyon got to debut as a member of X1 on August 27th, 2019, after the win in rank eight in the survival show Produce X 101. X1 was under CJ ENM through the Mnet show Produce X 101. The members of boy band X1 were Kim Yo-han, Kim Woo-seok, Han Seung-woo, Song Hyeong-jun, Cho Seung-youn, Son Dong-pyo, Lee Han-gyul, Nam Do-hyon, Cha Jun-ho, Kang Min-hee, and Lee Eun-sang.
The X1 debuted with the leading song “Flash” from the album Emergency Quantum Leap under Swing Entertainment and managed by Stone Music Entertainment released on August 27th, 2019. Since the vote manipulation investigation arose, X1 got disbanded on January 6th, 2020.
Debut With H&D
After the disbandment of his group X1, Nam Do-hyon got the opportunity to debut as a member of the duo H&D on March 30th, 2020, with his labelmate Lee Hangyul.
On March 18th, 2020, they revealed the official logo and also the album photo debut on Twitter and other social media accounts.
Some fans got quite curious about their debut since it was different from other concepts seen before. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, their promotion on fan meeting in Japan was canceled in April by MBK Entertainment.
Nam Do-hyon and Lee Hang-yul who are former members of X1 launched a pre-debut song titled “Toward Tomorrow” in February 2020. Since the pandemic outbreak, they postponed the launch of their official album to April 21st, 2020.

On May 5th, the agency PocketDolz Studio revealed, “Lee Han Gyul and Nam Do Hyon are going to join the new boy group who is preparing to debut this fall. It is a project that has been in progress since last year, and since Lee Han Gyul and Nam Do Hyon returned earlier than planned from the Produce X 101 project group X1, they were able to join this group.”
Moreover, they also said: “Since last year, we have been preparing for the launch of the new boy group. The members of this group are equipped with various charms and excellent skills, which will cause a great sensation among the next generation boy groups.”
On April 21st, H&D also held their 1st Fan Meeting Happy Day: Birthday; they promoted the duo and released the first mini-album SOULMATE.
During the show-con, they did incredible performances and stage acts that were published live on VLIVE. This show-con get achieved 10 million hearts, proving H&D’s immense popularity. Nam do-hyun now is still busy with the promotional schedule of their new album.
