Every year, thousands of rookies debut to enter the competition of the K-pop industry. Under their agencies, they present their unique concepts, astounding skills, and notable songs. Ready to join the competition of the K-pop industry, TEMPEST under Yue Hua Entertainment made their entrance this year. TEMPEST is a seven-member boy group with several members that have made their name known in K-pop through a survival show and debuting as a duo. The experience of the members gives them an advantage as they have a taste of performing on stage, recording, and even composing.

- Lew was born in Namdong-gu, Incheon, South Korea.
- Lew attended Hanlim Multi Art School.
- He joined Produce 101 S2 and was eliminated in episode five with rank 23.
- In 2018, he and TEMPEST’s other member Hyeongseop debuted as the duo HyeongseopXEuiwoong.
- From 2016 until 2017, he became a guest and then an MC of KBS’ Hello Counselor.

TEMPEST Delayed Debut
The announcement of TEMPEST’s schedule was made through their SNS account. On January 19th, 2022, it was announced that TEMPEST was going to debut on February 21st, 2022. Following the announcement of their debut date, Yue Hua also released a group trailer for TEMPEST on January 22nd, 2022. Then, from January 25th to January 27th, 2022, Yue Hua released sketch films for TEMPEST’s members including Hwarang, Eunchan, Lew, Hanbin, Hyeongsep, Hyuk, and Taerae.
It also unveiled that TEMPEST was going to debut with the mini album It’s Me, It’s We with five tracks on it. To complete the trailer debut, Yue Hua also released concept photos and visual clips of the members from February 8th to February 10th, 2022.
But, unfortunately, the scheduled debut that was scheduled for February 21st, 2022, was delayed. On February 14th, 2022, it was announced that all seven members of TEMPEST were confirmed to be positive for Covid-19 which resulted in a delayed debut date.
TEMPEST Officially Debuted on March 2nd, 2022

The date that we’ve been waiting for finally came. After the delayed debut because of the members testing positive for Covid-19, on March 2nd, 2022, TEMPEST finally held its debut showcase, marking the date the members joined the K-pop industry as TEMPEST. Prior to the debut showcase, they released a teaser for the title track “Bad News” on February 15th, 2022.
The tracklist for the It’s Me, It’s We mini album was unveiled on February 21st, 2022. It revealed the five tracks on the album and also showed that Lew and Hwarang also participated in writing the five songs on the album. The MV of “Bad News” was then released on March 2nd, 2022, along with the mini album.
“Bad News” is a funky song that brings out TEMPEST’s bright energy. It shares the feeling of TEMPEST’s resolve to become a new game-changer in the K-pop industry. Check out the “Bad News” music video below that has gained 7.7 million views.
