Early Career: Debut with a Japanese Band

In March 2008, Kangnam debuted with the stage name Ya-Cha as a new member of the Japanese band Kick Chop Busters (KCB) and he left the band in 2010 for unknown reasons.

Debut with M.I.B

Kangnam debuted as a member of M.I.B under the label Jungle Entertainment on October 25th, 2011, with the title song “G.D.M” which stands for “Girls, Dreams, Money.” M.I.B (Most Incredible Busters) is a Hip-Hop band that has four members.

Kangnam’s Solo Career in Japan

Kangnam released a Japanese solo debut album titled Ready to Fly on May 25th, 2016, under CJ Victor Entertainment. Kangnam’s first Japanese song was performed at KCON Japan where he debuted as a singer.

Kangnam’s first song as a solo artist was released on October 17th, 2011. A spin-off project while Kangnam was still a member of M.I.B.

This song became the title of Kangnam’s first mini-album containing six songs. The song was released on September 10th, 2015. The lyrics are talking about the sweetness of falling in love.
