NCT U
NCT U is the first subunit of NCT. The group officially debuted on April 9th, 2019, with their two singles “The 7th Sense” and “Without You.” The members of NCT U are Mark, Jaehyun, Taeil, Taeyong, Doyoung, Ten, Winwin, Jung-woo, and Lucas. However, members change depending on who fits that concept.
In 2018, NCT U released songs as a part of NCT 2018 Empathy album. The “Boss” line-up consisted of Taeyong, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Winwin, Jungwoo, Lucas, and Mark. Meanwhile, the “Baby Don’t Stop” line-up consisted of Taeyong and Ten. The “Yestoday” line-up consisted of Taeyong, Doyoung, Lucas, and Mark.
NCT Dream
NCT Dream is the third subunit of NCT. The group has a graduation system, where they graduate from the unit after reaching the Korean age of 20 (19 internationally).
NCT Dream officially debuted on August 25th, 2016, with the single “Chewing Gum” and with seven members: Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Jaemin, Chenle, and Jisung. However, Mark graduated from the group on December 31st, 2018.
On September 3rd, 2018, NCT Dream released an EP titled We Go Up. The album was the last comeback with Mark, who, shortly after, graduated from the group.
On July 26th, 2019, NCT Dream released their third EP, We Boom, and its title track, “Boom,” and it was their first comeback without Mark.
WayV
In 2018, SM Entertainment Introduced the new subunit of NCT, WayV. WayV is the fourth subunit and the China-based unit of NCT. The members of WayV are Kun, Ten, Winwin, Lucas, Xiaojun, Hendery, and Yangyang.
WayV officially debuted on January 17th, 2019, under SM Entertainment’s China-exclusive label, Label V, with the release of their first digital EP, The Vision, with a Chinese version of NCT 127’s “Regular” as the lead single.
On May 9th, 2019, WayV released their first mini-album, Take Off.
