But if it is possible for him to come back to the industry, many prediction have been made about how it might play out. The first prediction is that Kangin will shift his career toward being more of an actor. He already had an experience in acting, either its a film, drama or television series.

After 14 Years, Kangin Announced His Departure From Super Junior
Sad news arrived for ELF. On July 11, Kangin announced through his personal Instagram that he will no longer be a member of Super Junior. Here’s what he wrote:

‘Hello, this is Kangin. I am greeting you all for the first time in a long time.
My heart feels heavy as it is not a positive news, but I am posting after a lot of consideration. I am now letting go the name of ‘Super Junior’ that has been with me for a long time. I always felt just apologetic to the members.
I always thought that it would be right for me to make the decision earlier than later, but the thought of people who support me unconditionally and our agency family troubled my heart, so i couldn’t not gather the courage easily. I thought that i couldn’t not make decision alone.
However, while watching the members who experience what they shouldn’t have due to my problems. I made the judgment that I cannot delay this further. More than anything, I feel most apologetic towards E.L.F who have always given overwhelming love for 14 years long. I am very late, but i will let go the name of ‘Super Junior and I will have sorry feelings and gratitude engraved in my heart as I continue on my own road.
I really want to express my gratitude to the members and agency family who were considerate towards me until the end. I will also cheering on the success of Super Junior.

A comeback by Kangin in a Web Drama?!
After a long time on hiatus, Kangin finally making a comeback!
The upcoming web drama “What Happen to Mirae?” released their first trailer, featuring Kangin on May 20, 2019. The web drama will tell a story about a collage student named Han Mi Rae (played by Han Yisoo) who meets a guy name Dong Joon (palyed by Kangin) on their last trip to Japan.
Kangin’s agency clarified regarding his appearance in the web drama, ‘The production team of the drama made a casting offer and Kangin decided to star in the drama. There are no other official activities or follow-up projects planned for Kangin’.
The drama “What Happen to Mirae?” aired its premiere on May 31, via YouTube, which marks Kangin’s first return to the industry after three years. He took the time off to self-reflect following his DUI Hit and Run scandal in 2016.
