CooKie (Hangul: 쿠키) is a South Korean girl group that debuted on March 15, 2021, with the single “I Think I Really Love You.” The members are mostly young members who are under 15 years old. CooKie supposedly purposed as a kids group, and they haven’t promoted through music programs that are aired on television.
Through an interview with Sports Khan that was held on April 1, 2021, CooKie’s Soyun shared her thoughts about debuting as a girl group member by saying, “The song ‘Ice Cream’ by BLACKPINK’s seniors became a decisive moment for me to dream of becoming a singer. Seeing the seniors dancing and singing, I felt strongly that I wanted to be like that. I want to work harder and become a singer like the BLACKPINK’s senior,” she said.
A few months later, CooKie promoted by releasing their members’ representative cookies through a short song. CooKie’s Soyoun is the almond cookie in the song while doing a cute choreography that you can watch in the video above.
