EXO lovers (officially called EXO-Ls) aren’t any stranger to Chanyeol’s passion for and natural talent in acting. In his early life, Chanyeol was enrolled to a personal acting institution where he chased his acting abilities. His initial appearance on a television play goes back to 2008 as a mere extra in KBS2’s High Kick! . Chanyeol also appeared as a cameo in SBS’s To the Beautiful You at 2012 and jTBC’s Royal Villa at 2013.
Chanyeol took a large leap in his acting career by accepting a supporting character for a big screen debut in the South Korean film Salut d’Amour in 2015, which starred legendary actors like Park Geunhyung and Youn Yuhjung. He played the role of Minsung who is a high school pupil. In the exact same year, he and his fellow EXO bandmates starred in their very first web-drama EXO Next Door, that tells a tale about a high school fangirl who appears to be neighbors with the celebrity idol boy band EXO. Chanyeol appeared as the man lead alongside actress Moon Gayoung as the female lead.
