Chanyeol in Roommate
The variety show Roommate shows eleven celebrities living together in a shared house, and aired on SBS. On the September 4 episode, Chanyeol was living with other roommates including Nana from After School, Park Bom of 2NE1, Lee Dong Wook, Shin Sung Woo, Hoo Soo Hyun, Jo Se Ho, Seo Kang Joon, Park Min Woo, and Song Ga Yeon.
Chanyeol was the first to enter the house and take a look around at the living room, clean kitchen, dining room, and the rooms upstairs. The second to arrive was comedian Jo Se.Ho, Chanyeol offered help and he ended up helping him bring all his stuff into the house. Jo Se Ho said, “I wanted to show the audience that Chanyeol is the kind of kid who is good to his hyungs. If he stays still and doesn’t help me out, he would become an idol with ‘no manners’.” The comedian then stated that he would call Chanyeol a “gentle-dol” or a gentleman idol, and the two built a nice relationship during the show.
On last episode of the show, which aired on September 14, some cast members who wouldn’t be returning for next season were saying their goodbyes. Chanyeol stated,“I felt like we were a family and I’m so thankful that they treated me like their younger brother. I don’t think I’ll be able to forget the memories we share.” He left the house by leaving genuine message he wrote on the board, saying:
Hello everyone~!!
This is EXO’s Chanyeol who is the first roommate to arrive in the house~!!
I came early so I already fixed some of my stuff and spent some time in this new place. Because I was alone, I was so bored and I could not wait to meet the other roommates soon.
I have to go to a shoot now so I won’t be at the house. I’ll work hard at the shoot and come back so please wait for me~ Please do me a favor~

Chanyeol in Master Key
Master Key is a reality show makes the contestants play games to find the Master Key. Chanyeol was on the sow with Lee Soo Geun, Jun Hyun Moo, Key of SHINee, Kang Daniel and Ong Sung Woo from Wanna One , Sana of TWICE , Song Mino from WINNER, Jinyoung of GOT7, JR of NU’EST, Henry from Super Junior, and actress Lee Sun Bin.
On the first episode, Chanyeol show his enthusiasm while looking for a person with the Master Key and demonstrated good team work in the games. He become more competitive than other cast members during intelligence games. On this episode, the show added a new rule they called as “angel and devil”. The players had to find the person with the master key were divided into “angels and devils”. This episode was set to air on November 4 at 6:10 p.m. KST. Chanyeol was showing off his ability to run fast in a fun race with Kang Daniel from Wanna One.
