Sam Okyere and Fabien
Sam Okyere, the Ghanaian TV personality with impeccable Korean language ability, and Fabien, a French Model with perfect Korean language skill, made an appearance in episode 202 of Running Man. The show was broadcast on June 29th, 2014, and the shooting was taken at BlueOne Water Park. Cast members and guest were divided into five teams: Idol, Global, Sports, Movie, and Flower. In the episode, Yoo Jae-suk made only a brief appearance for the opening segment.
Jackie Chan
Legendary Hong Kong and Hollywood movie star Jackie Chan appeared as a guest on Running Man for episode 135. On the episode, Super Junior’s Choi Siwon also made an appearance. SBS broadcast the funny episode on March 3rd, 2013.
The Running Man cast members were surprised when suddenly Jackie Chan opened the door and greeted them on the recording set. They couldn’t hide their excitement when seeing their favorite childhood movie star. Jackie Chan impressed the Running Man staff and viewers with his perfect Korean language pronunciation and playful, teasing character. Patrice Evra
The former soccer player from Manchester United and close friend of retired Korean soccer player Park Ji-sung made a much anticipated appearance on episode 154 on Running Man. Korean soccer players Koo Ja-cheol and Park Ji-sung also appeared as guests on the sport-themed episode. The shooting was done at the Hongkou Football stadium in Shanghai, China. In the episode, Ji-sung’s team and Evra’s team competed in football free-kick game, and various football-related challenges. In the end, Evra’s team won the mission and received two 2013 Asian Cup invitations.
Patrice Evra showed his playful and easygoing personality. As a popular global sportsman, he blended well with the cast members, and often times teased them, especially Lee Kwang-soo. The late former f(x) member, Sulli, also appeared as a guest. Patrice Evra was one of the funniest guests that appeared on Running Man.

Mission Impossible’s main cast, Tom Cruise, Henry Cavill, and Simon Pegg made a short but memorable appearance on Running Man in episode 410. The episode was filmed on July 17th, 2018, and was aired on July 22nd, 2018.
The concept of the episode was secret agents. R Agency leader (Song Ji-hyo) led R Agency members Haha, Ji Suk-jin, Kim Jong-kook, and Lee Kwang-soo to compete against M Agency members Yoo Jae-suk, Jeon So-min, and Yang Se-chan. The mission was to identify the members of M Agency before they identified the leader of R Agency. At the end of the episode, R Agency won the mission and received a golden badge.
The Running Man cast and Mission Impossible cast played and competed in a “guess things inside the box” game. In the first game, Simon Pegg chose Lee Kwang-soo as his opponent. Simon Pegg showed good chemistry and interaction in the Korean variety show. He guessed the item, a piece of broccoli, inside the container box correctly, and within a short time. When he guessed correctly, he ate the broccoli piece. He said that broccoli is his favorite food and it was the first time he’d ever eaten Korean broccoli.
For the second game, Tom Cruise and Henry Cavill competed with Running Man members in the “feel and guess what is inside the box” game. Henry Cavill and Tom Cruise guessed both items correctly. They defeated the veterans of the variety show without even trying too hard. They were fearless, and grabbed onto the item inside the box. Since Henry Cavill guessed correctly without any fear, the Running Man members called him the American version of Mr Capable, Kim Jong-kook.
Ryan Reynolds, Adria Arjona and Melanie Laurent
As a globally popular Korean variety show, Running Man has attracted many actors and singers as a mean to promote their latest project, a new movie, or a new album. On episode 482, Ryan Reynolds, Adria Arjona, and Melanie Laurent made an appearance in SBS’s Running Man. The show was aired on December 22, 2019. Ryan Reynolds, Adria Arjona, and Melanie Laurent came to promote their movie, 6 Underground.
The famous Hollywood stars were given a challenge to guess the age of each Running Man cast member. Adrian Arjone guessed that Jeon So-min’s age was 27. She was shocked and surprised when the staff revealed that her age was 34. She immediately asked her the tips and ways to maintain a youthful look. Again, the global celebrities failed to guess the other Running Man members correctly. Ryan Reynolds guessed that Lee Seok-jin’s age was 43. With a wide smile and proud face, Lee Seok-jin revealed that his age was actually 54. However, Ryan Reynolds wiped the smile off Lee Seok-jin’s face when he called him Dad! His sudden reply made the entire cast burst into laughter
The theme for the episode was the ghost hunter race. On the special episode, Hunter Team: Haha, Ji Suk-jin, Lee Kwang-soo, Song Ji-hyo, Jeon SO-min, Yang Se-chan, and Hwang Bo-ra competed with ghosts team: Yoo Jae-suk and Kim Jong-kook. The mission was to avoid a position in penalty roulette that consisted of ghosts. Ghosts lost on the episode, therefore they had to receive their punishments, wear bald wigs and receiving pelvic massages.

Recently, Running Man recorded their highest viewers rating in 2020, on the episode that was aired on March 2nd, 2020. The first part of the episode recorded 6.6%, while the second part recorded 9.1%. On the episode, actress Bae Jong-wook and Sin Hye-seon made a guest appearance. The theme of the episode was Decide! 100! Actress Bae Jong-wook showed her active and competitive character that made the game more challenging.
