1. Set Me Free – 2014
Set Me Free is a movie that made the name and popularity of Woo-Shik increase. The film is directed and written by Kim Tae-Yong. The film is 106 minutes long, and Woo-Shik plays Young-Jae. Woo-Shik’s acting ability as the main actor in this film is very good and deserves praise. He even received the Best New Actor for his acting in this movie.

In 2016, Woo-Shik met back with Uee in the Train to Busan movie. Train to Busan is a wonderful movie from 2016. The film was written and directed by Park Joo-Suk, Yeon Sang-Ho and Yeon Sang-Ho with a duration of 116 minutes. Choi Woo-Shik plays Young-Gook and Uee plays Jin-Hee.
The movie, starring Woo-Shik and Gong-Yoo, begins with a freight truck that is allowed through a leaky area. Once there, the truck driver did not see a deer pass through the middle of the road, therefore hitting it. Afterwards, the dead deer turned into a zombie.
Seok-Woo, a financial manager of a company, traveled to Busan with his son Su-an to meet his mother as his daughter’s birthday present. Seok-Woo, who is just divorced from his wife, departs with KTX (Korean fast train) from Seoul with other passengers. As the train departs, a woman with a wound on her foot gets into the train. The woman is trying to attack the train attendant who wants to try to help her. Since then, the zombie woman infected a large number of train passengers.
The train engineer announced that the train would stop at Daejeon where soldiers were on standby to help them. However, when it got there, the station was quiet and there was no one at all. When they realized that the whole army had become zombies, they reentered the train and headed for Busan where the leakage of the virus was cleared.
On the way, they were attacked by a number of zombies and Seok-Woo was bitten by Yong-Suk, played by Kim Eui-Sung, and eventually turns into a zombie. Seok-woo teaches Sung-kyung and Su-An how to stop the train before he leaves them and jumps off the train while it is running.
3. Okja – 2017
Okja is a film that managed to steal the attention of netizens in 2017. Choi Woo-Shik’s only role was as a cameo in this film. Okja was written and directed by Bong Joon-Ho, Jon Ronson and Bong Joon-Ho.
The movie is about Mija, played by Ahn Seo-Hyun, living with his uncle, played by Byun Hee-bong, since childhood since Mija is an orphan. They live in a mountain far from urban areas. Since the age of 4, Mija was very close to his pet pig, Okja, who is entrusted by a large American company called Miranda Corp. for 10 years. Afterwards, they take the pig to participate in the most beautiful pig contest by competing against 25 other superior pig seeds that have spread in 25 countries. The company is engaged in the development of synthetic animal food directly led by Lucy.
