Being a Cast Member of MBC’s I Live Alone
Henry first made his appearance on MBC’s I Live Alone in episode 190. He covered a popular song “Uptown Funk” and it became a hit as well as the second most viewed video on Naver TV. Soon, he was recruited to become a regular member.
He then appeared in episode 192, 196, 203, 214-215, 244, 253-254, 257, 266-267, 271, 276-277, 286-287, and so on. Henry seems to have a good relationship with the cast. In one episode of Korean Thanksgiving day (Chuseok Day), he gifted the cast a box of nuts worth 129,000 KRW (about $109).
He also wrote personally to the cast. To Park Na-rae, he wrote, “Mom! ^^ I really want to see you!! Don’t you want to see me too?? Happy Chuseok!♡♡ – Henry.” Meanwhile, to Han Hye-jin, “Hyejin noona! Happy Chuseok! ♡Henry.”
The cast then called him to thank him.
In episode 267, Henry continued showing his home town in Toronto including his family house. The cast members were surprised at how big his house is.
In the previous episode, he surprised his father by appearing in his office suddenly and both spent quality time together. This time, they went home and let the viewers see the inside of the house. The cast teased him about his family being rich but he denied and said that it’s just because their house is full of instruments.
Henry said that the inside of his room is just like the way it was when he was younger. He also showed his childhood pictures.
Henry celebrated Thanksgiving day with his father and friends as well as his birthday. His father surprisingly teared up as he said that it’s the first time in seventeen years or more since he celebrated Henry’s birthday with him and he’s really happy about it. In the studio, Henry himself told the cast that he was surprised to see his father cry because he thought his father was someone who never cried.
Many think Henry is funny and has a good sense of humor so he gets along with the other cast members. Some even say that the rating of the show goes up when he appears. What do you think?
