ICU is a South Korean girl group currently consisting of five members. The group consists of Chae-i, Hayu, Abin, Ella, and Naye. ICU is under Liz Entertainment. She is a former member of Chic Angel, and was known by the stage name Sha Sha (샤샤). After she left Chic Angel, she joined YJIG by the stage name Abin in 2019. Later, the group (YJIG) decided to disband.

She graduated from Performing Arts High School and won many major dance competitions in the theaters. She also won in a dance competition and performed it in front of the prime minister.

She is a former member of YJIG, along with Abin.
On May 31st, 2020, Naye was officially introduced as a member of ICU. She was introduced under the name Joah (조아). However, later she decided to change her stage name to Naye (나예).
Hoyomi (호요미) is Naye’s nickname.
Her hobbies are taking pictures (photography), and listening to music.
Her specialty is flexibility and imagination.
Her favorite foods are snack bars chocolate, cheese, bread, Korean, Japanese, Chinese, and Western cuisine.
Naye is a part of the project girl group CHIC&IDLE. She debuted in the group on July 20th, 2020.

Official Debut

ICU officially debuted on October 22nd, 2019, with the digital single “Cupid.” ICU is pronounced differently and is called Aiku. ICU means “I See You.” I See You has also a meaning of “I’m looking at you,” and “AIKU” expresses cuteness and familiarity by using the exclamation as a double expression.

“Cupid” is a kind of retro dance song with exciting melody and rhyme. The song was written by Raeun, composed and arranged by Hyunsoo Lee. The album consists of two tracks, “CUPID,” and “CUPID (Inst.).” On April 17th, ICU made their music debut through the Arirang TV music show Simply K-Pop.

Latest News

On July 20th, 2020, all the originals members of ICU were set to debut in CHIC&IDLE. CHIC&IDLE is Liz Entertainment’s new nine-member project girl group. Liz Entertainment announced the notice in June 2020. The group consists of Hayu, Chae i, Ella, and Abin of ICU, U Hee, Laeun, and Dayeon of Chic Angel, Byeolha (former MIDNIGHT), and Xindy (former DPOP Friends, MIDNIGHT & Daydream).

The group debuted with the single “3! 4!” The song was written and composed by Lee Hyun Do, and arranged by Hyunsoo Lee. They made a comeback appearance on Mnet’s M Countdown on July 16th, 2020.

Recently, ICU made a Japanese version of “CUPID.” It marks ICU’s first Japanese single. The song was released on July 10th, 2020. The title of the song is “CUPID (Japanese Ver.).” They are the first artist under their label (Liz Entertainment) to make a debut outside of South Korea.
