Jimin has been called Mochi since his first debut. Fans started calling him so because of his cheeks that look very soft and squishy. Due to his cute outward appearance, fans were inspired to call him Mochi. As we already mentioned before, Mochi is a Japanese sweet treat that is chewy and soft.
Jimin, a singer and dancer in the phenomenal boy band BTS, can sometimes be seen pouting, looking quite similar to a Mochi cake, especially his chubby cheeks which resemble a Mochi very much. Don’t you agree?

Umji who was born on August 19th, 1998, is one of the members of the popular South Korean girl group GFriend. She has a cute and chubby image which brought her the nickname Mochi. Her visual appearance is quite similar to a mochi, and of course, in a very positive way.
Her sweet face, and her chubby cheeks are absolutely resemblant of a mochi! She also has double eyelids that make her look even sweeter and cuter!
EXO Xiu-min
Xiu-min, a member of EXO, is often called Mochi, or mini mochi.
