EXO’s Lay, NCT 127, Jason Derulo
The next one is a huge collaboration from EXO’s Lay, NCT 127, and Jason Derulo! Through Let’s Shut Up & Dance, they gave audiences a great song. The single and music video were on February 22, 2019.
Jason Derulo and his team revealed that the music was inspired by Michael Jackson’s music, and created as an homage to him, with fresh music and something new. No wonder, this was one of the Michael Jackson’s tribute songs for his 60th birthday, a project from Jerry Greenberg. He also explained that the dance moves in the music video were incredible, according to EXO’s Lay, NCT 127, and the other dancers.
On the iTunes Charts, the single peaked at #97, and it was #3 in the Days UK Songs Chart. The single also charted in the UK, Brazil, Italy, and Canada.

Super Junior & Leslie Grace
Another SM Entertainment’s artist collaboration! This time from Super Junior and their collaboration with Leslie Grace with Lo Siento! The collaboration was really attractive since it was a mixture of K-Pop and Latin music. The single was released on April 12th, 2018.
The collaboration idea came up when Super Junior was doing a Latin single in Spanish and urban style. Then, they were working with Play-N-Skillz, which eventually lead them to Leslie Grace and they ended up asking her to be the female singer on their song. Obviously, Leslie Grace said yes to them! The recording process was also interesting, since Leslie Grace revealed that they had trilingual person to help them with the lyrics: Korean, English and Spanish!
Lo Siento entered the weekly charts, such as the US World Digital Songs (Billboard) in 2nd rank, the US Latin Digital Song Sales (Billboard) in 13th rank, and many more. It was also the first time that K-Pop music entered a Latin music chart!

Monsta X & Steve Aoki
This time, Steve Aoki was collaborating with Monsta X! Their collaboration on the single Play It Cool was released on March 27th, 2019. The collaboration song was the English version of Play It Cool, along with Steve Aoki.
Steve Aoki has proven his intention that he would came up with more K-Pop collaborations after his latest collaboration with BTS, then he provided us a collaboration with Monsta X! In one on interview, Steve Aoki said he was hoping that he would be able to work together with Monsta X, and eventually he made it.
Monsta X also revealed that they were really fond of how Play It Cool has turned into English version, and that it was such an honor for all of them to be working with an amazing producer and artist like Steve Aoki.
Since Play It Cool was part of in Monsta X’s album Take.2 We Are Here, the album was peaked at number 5 on the World Albums chart. The single also number 8 on the Days Australian song chart and number 52 on iTunes.

Red Velvet’s Wendy & John Legend
Next, there’s a collaboration between Red Velvet’s Wendy and John Legend! Their collaboration was on the single Written In The Stars. This song was also part of SM Entertainment’s project, SM Station X 0! Written In The Stars was released digitally on October 19th, 2018. The song was a ballad with an R&B feel.
Since Wendy has been a fan of John Legend for a long time, the collaboration felt like a dream for her. This was also the first collaboration John Legend had ever done with a K-Pop idol. Written In The Stars successfully entering lots of music charts, even after the first release, it started at number 9 on the iTunes Top Songs chart!

Red Velvet, Ellie Goulding, Diplo
Next, again from Red Velvet, this time with a collaboration along with Ellie Goulding and Diplo! They were released the remixed version of Close To Me by Ellie Goulding. In the remix version, Red Velvet’s members sang the lyrics in Korean, meanwhile Ellie Goulding sang in English. The remix version was released on April 5th, 2019.
Even though people were already in love with the first version of Close To Me, they were also interested with the remix version due to Red Velvet’s great vocals! Ellie Goulding was the first one to ask Red Velvet to be involved in the remix version of her song, and the Korean group happily approved it and went to a recording session together. Moreover, Wendy and Yeri were the co-writers for the Korean lyrics in Close To Me! The song charted in the Billboard Hot 100 and hit number 27!

Red Velvet’s Wendy & Ricky Martin
Last, but not least, another magnificent collaboration from Red Velvet’s Wendy! This time she was collaborating with Latin singer, Ricky Martin! They sang together on Ricky Martin’s single, Vente Pa’ Ca, which was released on December 27th, 2016. Actually, the collaboration was another version of Vente Pa’ Ca, which was sung in Spanish. Meanwhile, the collaboration version used English in some of the lyrics.
Ricky Martin was interested in making Vente Pa’ Ca in another language version and, since he was impressed with Wendy’s unique voice, he asked her to do a collaboration. Finally, the English version of Vente Pa’ Ca with Wendy was released, even though Ricky Martin also has an English version with Delta Goodrem.
Since Vente Pa’ Ca has been on a lot of music charts and got the top ranks, it should be no surprise that the remake achieved the same enthusiasm!
