SNSD – The Boys
The Boys was announced for an American release on November 19, 2011, under their American label, Interscope Records. But, after a postponement, the single was released digitally on December 20, instead. SM Entertainment confirmed that the girls would promote their debut US single, The Boys, on the late-night talk show the Late Show with David Letterman, and on the syndicated daytime talk show Live! with Kelly on January 31 and February 1, respectively.
The Boys was released in the US on January 17, 2012. This marks Girls’ Generation’s first physical release in the country, using the Korean single cover of the title track as the American album cover. With the exception of the English version of the title track, the entire album consists of Korean-language songs, all of which were taken from the original edition of The Boys. In addition, four remixes of The Boys are included in the US edition, the first of which features American rapper Snoop Dogg.
Jessica and Tiffany said that it took a week to finish recording both the English and Korean version of it. However, their hard work is worth it, as the Korean Version debuted at number 1 on the Billboard’s Korea K-Pop Hot 100.
Jessica – Fly
Jessica is a former member of Girls Generation (SNSD). Jessica’s song titled Fly released on May 17, 2016, in conjunction with the release of the EP, and was released digitally by Coridel Entertainment. Fly is a Korean song recorded by South Korean singer Jessica Jung, featuring Fabolous, taken from Jessica’s debut, With Love, J EP. It was written by herself, and produced by Eric Fernandez and Karriem Mack.
The English version of Fly was released digitally ten days after the original version released. The single peaked at number four on the South Korean Gaon Digital Chart, and has since sold over 259,807 digital copies. To promote the song and the EP, Jessica embarked on a series of concerts titled “Fan Meeting 2016 Asia Tour” on June 1; the tour took place in Thailand, Taiwan, Japan, and other Asian countries.
