Kyulkyung Debut with PRISTIN
After I.O.I’s disbandment at the end of January, 2017, Kyulkyung returned to her agency, Pledis Entertainment. She debuted with Pristin on March 21, 2017, which was first named Pledis Girlz. Pristin’s name comes from the words “prismatic” (bright and clear) and “elastin” (flawless strength).

We (2016)
This song originally was released in June, 2016, when Kyulkyung was still promoting with I.O.I, so she’s not participating in this song. Neither is Nayoung, who was also an I.O.I member. The song was entirely written by members Roa, Eunwoo, Sungyeon, and Xiyeon. In 2017 they made a newer version of it, with Kyulkyung and Nayeon’s vocals on the song. The song is mainly about friendship, and depicts how being together with your friends makes you stronger. Unfortunately, there’s no music video with Kyulkyung in it and the agency didn’t make a new one for this version of the song.
Wee Woo (2017)
Wee Woo is their very first song with the complete membership after Nayoung and Kyulkyung returned. This song is really catchy, especially the “Wee Woo” part that means to be one of Kyulkyung’s parts. The dance during that part is really cute and simple, which made it so people who saw it once could easily follow the dance. This is an upbeat pop track about innocent love, which featured in Pristin’s first mini-album, Hi! Pristin.
Kyulkyung came back with her black hair, which gives her a sexier look. It was topped off with yellow, off-the-shoulder top that was very flattering on her pale skin. The black “Queen” choker is a statement on her outfit. You also can spot her a few times with a yellow beret. To be more extra, the stylist added chain hanging on her jeans skirt. She’s beyond charming in this music video.
We Like (2017)
Pristin released their second mini-album, Schxxl Out, on August 2, 2017. We Like is the title song and, again, it’s a really catchy tune that really sticks in your head. It was combined with the point dance, which made this song very current. The concept of the song is cheerful, which we can see in Kyulkyung’s expression.
There are two styles that really eye-catching. The first one is this yellow dress, paired with long blue earrings. Doesn’t it look great? Everything she wears matches her skin tone. For makeup, her narrow, yet vivid eyeliner is the focal point of her makeup. Red lipstick adds more bright color.
The second one is this beautiful pink grid shirt with a bright pink bow, paired with a simple blue skirt to tone the outfit down a bit, because her big heart earrings are very eye-catching. That natural, straight, black hair is looking really good on Kyulkyung! Also, a beret is not something that everyone can pull off!
