Lee Min-ki and Jung So-min’s Off-screen Moments
Success in making the audience enjoy a drama is impossible without the amazing acting quality of the players and their chemistry.
On November 25, 2017, tvN released their behind the scenes video for episode 13, which aired on November 20, 2017. The video featured the behind the scenes moments in the scene where Se-hee enters Ji-ho’s room and sleeps with her for the first time.
Unlike the take that appears in the drama, a lot of funny things actually happen. The two were seen having to repeat the scene several times for making mistakes, and laughing.
There are scenes where Nam Se-hee (Lee Min-ki) is supposed to look at Yoon Ji-ho (Jung So-min) with a smile, but the reality behind the scene is that they have to repeat the scene because they keep laughing.
In the press conference for this drama, Lee Min-ki talked about how he felt about making his return, “I learned that there are consequences to my actions, and I’m going to work hard to be more careful and prudent. I am so happy and thankful to be a part of this project. I’m going to give it my all. ”
He also shared about why he chose this drama as his first drama comeback project in three years. “I liked the stories that this project wanted to tell. I also think that Nam Sae Hee’s preference in maintaining a distance between himself and other people is charming, ” he explained.
In an interview, Jung So-min also gave her opinion on this drama, “The atmosphere on set was always great. I recently spoke to our director over the phone and it made me ache for the time I spent on set. I loved it so much that I found myself thinking, “I didn’t know filming could be this fun.” My heart hasn’t accepted that it’s over yet. I was so happy to have worked with people I wanted to work with. ”
After the drama wrapped up with a happy ending, Jung So-min expressed her hopes for the drama to return and to play the character Yoon Ji-ho again if there is a next season, “I know that the drama ends with a closed conclusion and a happy ending. Even I thought, “Do we have more stories to share? This will be the last time I see this character, right? ‘But all of us still talk about coming back with a second season. Even our director jokes that all of his productions have made multiple seasons except one, ‘Bring It On, Ghost.’ I think I’ll be able to create even more interesting stories with a new season, and in my opinion, anything our writer creates is bound to be good. ”
She concluded by saying, “I’ve never made a special effort to let characters go. If they decide to stick around in my mind, I let them. Yoon Ji Ho is a character I hope stays with me for a long time because I see so much of myself in her. ”
Lee Min-ki and Jung So-min’s Cameo in What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?
In 2018, the appearance of Jung So-min and Lee Min-ki was their first reunion after starring in the drama ‘Because This is My First Life’. Previously, the two acted as a husband and wife in the drama and gained high popularity because of it.
They appeared as a cameo on tvN’s ‘What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?’ for having worked with Park Joon-hwa, the director who had worked on the drama ‘Because This is My First Life’.
‘What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?’ is a tvN drama based on the popular webtoon series of the same name. It tells a love story between Lee Young-joon (Park Seo-joon), who is a handsome, wealthy, and talented vice president of a company, and his reliable secretary named, Kim Mi-so (Park Min-young).
Lee Min-ki and Jung So-min played the roles of Kim Mi-so’s parents, while they were still young. This scene appeared when Mi-so was having a flashback to her youth.
The producers stated, “We thank Lee Min Ki and Jung So Min for making a cameo appearance despite their busy schedules. Their short but impactful performance as Mi So’s parents when they were younger will be one of the key points that will make ‘What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim’ more fun. We hope many will look forward to it. ”
