Gina Jane Choi, well known as G.NA, is a Canadian singer, songwriter, and actress based in South Korea. She was born on September 13th, 1987, in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. She graduated from Fraser Heights Secondary School in Surrey, British Columbia. She moved to South Korea to pursue her dream to be a singer in 2005 when she was about 18 years old.
G.NA was originally set to debut as the leader of the girl group Five Girls under Good Entertainment. However, the group disbanded shortly before their scheduled debut in 2007 due to Good Entertainment’s financial troubles and the members all left for separate Korean entertainment agencies, and G.NA debuted as a solo artist under Cube Entertainment.

Then on July 14th, 2010, she officially debuted by releasing her EP Draw G’s First Breath and the first single from her EP “I’ll Back Off So You Can Live Better” ft. B2ST’s Junhyung.
“I’ll Back Off So You Can Live Better” is a ballad with powerful vocal and dance. The song won a reward on one of the weekly music shows. The song features labelmate Jun-hyung from Beast with rap, while the music video features Doo-joon from Beast.
The message in the song is much about an ended relationship where a girl is willing to let go of her feelings because the guy she really loves does not want to continue their relationship. This is just to let the man feel better in life. However, at the end of the song, the girl changes her response and says that without him, she will not be able to live. The video takes place at a club that’s set on fire because of G.NA’s hotness, and there is a group of firefighters who seem to be distracted by G.NA’s sexy moves, they are completely ignoring the fires raging all around them.
