UP10TION
TOP Media formed an idol boy-band named UP10TION, which debuted on September 9th, 2015. The group’s members include Jinhoo, Kuhn, Kogyeol, Lee Jin-hyuk, Bitto, Wooshin, Sunyoul, Gyujin, Hwanhee and Xiao. UP10TION held a debut performance at AX Concert hall and released their debut mini album, titled Top Secret, which included the debut single “So Dangerous”. UP10TION’s debut album reached number 7 on Korean music charts. Their music video for “So Dangerous” gained international attention and was ranked 9th of the most-viewed K-Pop videos during September, 2015.
Their regular studio album, Invitation was released on March 19th, 2018, and reached number 2 on Korean music charts. The album sold 75.594 copies in Korea and 14.872 copies in Japan. Other singles, such as “Summer Go!”, “Burst:, and “Stardom” peaked at number 1 when the singles were released. UP10TION was nominated as Best New Male Artist at the 2015 Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) and the 2015 Melon Music Awards (MMA). UP10TION has been active since 2015.
Seven O’Clock
Seven O’Clock is a boy-band under Staro Entertainment. Seven O’Clock debuted on March 16, 2017, with a mini album titled Butterfly Effect. Seven O’Clock signed with new management, Forest Network, on September 19th, 2018. Originally, the group was a 7-member group but after one of the member departed, the six remaining members were Hangyeom, Hyun, 2Soul, Jeonggyu, Taeyoung and Andy. Their debut album, Butterfly Effect peaked at the 38th position on music charts and sold only 615 copies. Seven O’Clock has been active from 2017.
VICTON
Victon, a short form of Voice to New World, is a group which debuted in 2016. Victon’s members are Han Seung-woo, Kang Seung-sik, Heo Chan, Lim Se-Jun, Do Han-se, Choi Byung-chan and Jung Su-bin. The group debuted on November 9, 2016, with a dance- genre mini album titled Voice To New World. Victon worked under Plan A Entertainment. They released a trailer for “What Time Is It Now”, one of a tracks from their debut album. Their lead track, “I’m Fine”, failed to reach a top position on Korean music charts. Their latest album, Time of Sorrow, which was released on May 23, 2018, reached number 2 on 2018 Korean album charts, selling 18.015 copies.
BLACK6IX
BLACK6IX is a boy-band under the management of Black Hole Entertainment. BLACK6IX’s members are Yongseok, Taeyoung, Jongwoon, Ziki, Yey and The King. They debuted on April 7, 2017, and their debut performance was done by performing their single title “Please”. The name BLACK6IX means six boys of infinite possibilities. The group is currently on a world tour that started on May 9, 2019, and continues until October, 2019. The group was scheduled to perform in Europe, Japan, Latin America and the Philippines. On October 22, 2019, BLACK6iX will perform at the 2019 SORIBADA Best K-Music Awards.
SPECTRUM
Spectrum is a boy-band formed by Wynn Entertainment in 2018. Spectrum consists of 6 members: Minjae, Donggyu, Jaehan, Hwarang, Villain, and Eunjun. One of their members, Dongyoon, passed away only two months after their debut. Spectrum debuted on May 10, 2018, with a single titled “Be Born”. Spectrum released their EP album on November 4, 2018. The album peaked at 47 on the Gaon music chart and sold 1023 copies in Korea.
NOIR
Noir was formed by Luk Factory management and debuted on April 9, 2018. Noir is a nine-member K-pop boy-band, whose members are Shin Seunghoon, Kim Yeonkuk, Lee Junyong, Nam Yunsung, Kim Siheon, Ryu Hoyeon, Yang Siha, Kim Minhyuk, and Kim Daewon. Their debut mini album, titled Twenty’s Noir, peaked at number 36 on the Gaon music chart and sold 1.533 copies in Korea. Their debut single and accompanying music video, “Gangsta” was released in 2018. Starting in May, 2018, NOIR traveled to 12 cities in China to promote their debut album. In June of this year, Noir released their 3rd mini album, titled Abyss, which includes leading track “Doom Doom”.
KNK
KNK is a boy-band formed with a combination of trainees from many labels. KNK debuted on February 29, 2016, under YNB Entertainment. They released their first single album, titled Knock. YNB Entertainment terminated KNK’s contract in September, 2018, and the group moved to 220 Entertainment. KNK’s initial members were Jihun, Seoham, Inseong, Heejun and Youjin. Youjin left KNK when their first contract was terminated and was replaced by a new member, Lee Dongwon. They received the K-Pop Singer award at the 2016 Korean Culture Entertainment Awards. KNK released their fourth single album, Collection, on July 15, 2019, with the lead track “Sunset”.
