MAP6 Debut
On November 10th, 2015, a debut showcase for MAP6 was held at the Lotte Card Art Center in Hapjeong-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul. MAP6 was newly formed by recruiting the existing members of A-Prince, which debuted in 2012 (excluding the member who enlisted in the military), and a new member, Sign, was added to the group.
In particular, before their debut, MAP6 was a hot topic as a younger brother group from the same agency and senior Girl’s Day.

On November 21st, 2015, MAP6 held their debut performance on MBC’s Show Music Core. At this performance, you can see the charisma displayed by each member of MAP6 who just held their debut with a new single titled “Storm” at that time.

As previously promised, Dream T Entertainment’s rookie boy group made their debut on November 10th, 2015. MAP6 is a boy group that has five members, and four of them are former members of the boy group A-Prince.
Through the song “STORM”, they showed a new image as MAP6, as the agency said, “A-Prince is a boy group that uses the concept of a cute boyfriend, like a prince, while MAP6 uses choreography and strong teamwork to show their true identity. A self of a man who has gone through many obstacles.”
In this music video, MAP6 members present extraordinary choreography, accompanied by upbeat orchestral music.
MAP6 is wrapping up their activities for their second single album “Swagger Time”. MAP6 released their second single album Swagger Time and performed successfully for 4 weeks with the title song “Swagger Time”.
Starting with the chair dance of Shinhwa, they presented a different stage by paying homage to the point choreography that was popular in the 1990s and 2000s in the Korean music industry such as Seo Taiji, Hyun Jinyoung, and Park Jin-young.
The members of MAP6 said, “There are still many performances and stages that we want to show. I want to show a new side and charm through the next album,” they said.
On May 14th, 2017, Dream T Entertainment released the tracklist of MAP6’s third single album Momentum on their official social media. Momentum contains a total of 4 songs. The title song is “I’m Ready”, and the hit composer Double Sidekick and the new composer Bullseye participated.
“I’m Ready” is a song about the heart of a man who is ready to give everything to the woman he loves. Double Sidekick said confidently, “’I’m Ready’ is a song that harmonizes the cool vocals of the MAP6 members with humorous rap.”
For the b-side songs “Closer” and “Even If Time Passes”, composer Kim Tae-joo, who worked with popular idol groups such as BEAST, BTOB, and A-Pink, was in charge of composing the song.
Released on November 25th, 2017, MAP6 presented their new song through the music video titled “Love Is Gone”. In accordance with the title of the song, “Love Is Gone” is a song that contains lyrics about heartbreak and sadness because of the loss of a loved one.
Even though it has sad lyrics, the song “Love Is Gone” is sung with dance music and MAP6 members’ powerful vocals.

MAP6 Hiatus
According to the official Japanese site, the group’s activities will be suspended after 2019 due to the member’s military enlistment scheduled for early 2020. It is unclear whether the company will continue their activities in the future as the circumstances of the agency, All-S Company, are still not clear about any further information for their upcoming.
