Melody Pink is a South Korean girl group that debuted a long time ago. This girl group was formerly called The Singing Girls who debuted on September 5th, 2017. Under KD Entertainment, they now made their re-debut by the name Melody Pink. The formation of this new girl group made a reshuffle of several members and kept four members. Melody Pink finally made their debut on September 25th, 2019, with four members including Hyein, Aya, Rookie, and Hajin. They debuted with the song “Hey U.”

The Singing Girls Era
On September 5th, 2017, the two members of the project group The Singing Girls made their debut with the song titled “I Like.” This duo had an indie project concept. The members were Kwon Ae-jin and Li-G (now also known as Cherry Pink). For the first comeback, they released a song titled “Still Like You,” and the number of members in the group increased, introducing Kwon Ae-jin, Sanha, and Sarang. Then on August 13th, 2018, the agency revealed that they had replaced all the old group members with new members born in 1996 for their latest comeback. Previously, members of the group were Kwon Ae-jin, Sanha, and Sarang. However, it changed to Sena, Eun-Bee, La-Hee, and Jiyeon. They released a song called “Maybe Maybe” with the new members. They also changed the concept of the group: from an indie project group to an idol group line-up.
In October 2018, The Singing Girls released a version of the video performance of their comeback song “This Night” on 1theK. In the video description box, it was revealed that all members of the previous arrangement had left the group. Bang Seung-ji, Aya, Rookie, Oh Hye-in, and Sophie (Haena, Canadian singer-songwriter) became the new members, even though Sophie had never performed with a group. The group finally chose to perform with Yuri who is a solo artist who debuted in 2001. Yuri is also a member who has recorded songs with the previous line-up. In March 2019, the group released their last single as The Singing Girls. New member Hajin was introduced to the public. With the release of “Dream of Star,” the group also revealed they will be re-debuting with the name Melody Pink in 2019.
