The Current Status and Upcoming Plans for JBJ Members Revealed!
JBJ’s contract with Fave Entertainment ended on April 30th. As some members requested to stay in the group dorm for a bit more longer while they figure out about their future plans, Fave Entertainment allowed them to use the dorms for one month.
The members’ agencies were also respecting their wishes about their future plans. One of the agency representatives says, “We will organize the future direction management after hearing the members’ opinions.”
Later, more details about the future plans of JBJ members had been revealed to the public. Here is the list below:
Noh Tae Hyun
Will return with his previous group HOTSHOT, but since Ha Sung Woon was promoting with WannaOne and Ho Jung with UNB, there will be no full group activity and promotion for the rest of 2018. There could also be a possibility for the other members to continue the activity together. For Noh Tae Hyun, he will pursue a career as a solo singer for the time being.
Takada Kenta and Kim Dong Han
Both Kenta and Dong Han are discussing their future activities with the agency. A Rainz member, Jung Dae Hyun was at the same agency with Dong Han but Rainz’s contract didn’t end yet until October 2018. If Dong Han and Dae Hyun are going to debut in a group together, it won’t happen until the end of the year.
Kim Sang Gyun
He originally debuted as a member of a boy group called Topp Dog (recently the group name was changed to XENO-T) but then left the group before joining Produce 101 Season 2. Sang Gyun’s agency, Hunus Entertainment, commented, “Kim Sang Gyun will not be joining XENO-T. We will discuss his future activities when he returns to the agency after he has finished all JBJ activities.”
Kwon Hyun Bin
For the member with model-like aura, Kwon Hyun Bin, he will continue with various activities, including modeling, acting, and appearing in various variety shows.
Longguo/Kim Yongguk
Jin Longguo, also known as Yongguk, will debut with a new boy group, together with Shi Hyun, who promoted as a duo with Longguo in 2017. The group will also consist of other trainees as well.
Kenta and Sang Gyun Debuting as a Duo!
Kenta and Sang Gyun finally announced their group’s name!
On August 17th, on Vlive application broadcasting, the duo announced that they will now promote under the name JBJ95. The name was chosen from a fan’s idea, Kenta and Sang Gyun explained the words “JBJ” showing that they haven’t forgotten their roots or lost their original intentions, while “95” is because both of them were both born in 1995.
At their fan meeting last month, Kenta and Sang Gyun said that they’ll be a permanent group, not a temporary group project. In the broadcast, they also said that the debut will be in October 2018.
Finally, on October 30th, JBJ95 released their first song called “HOME.” Here is the music video for you guys:
Kim Dong Han Solo Comeback
A former member of JBJ and now a solo artist, Kim Dong Han celebrated his 100th day anniversary from his debut, back on September 26th.
On Vlive broadcast, he made a party with the fans for the celebration, Dong Han also spilled the beans for his solo comeback dates, he said “I’m making a comeback on October 17th. I think I will be able to return more mature and with an improved image. Thank you for helping me to make my comeback sooner. I ask for your attention and support.”
Kim Dong Han previously debuted as a solo artist back in June 2018, with Sunset, and apparently, after four months, he made a comeback with a 2nd mini-album.
Finally, on October 17th, Dong Han released his mini-album D-NIGHT, with the title track “Goodnight Kiss” along with the music video. Check it out below!
“Goodnight Kiss” is a dance track with a future bass retro beat. Dong Han also participated in the writing of the lyrics that express the heart fluttering emotions of the first goodnight kiss.
