Get To Know MIXX South Korean Girl Band With a Short Career

MIXX (Hangeul: 믹스) was a five-member South Korean girl group under Chiko Bros Entertainment. MIXX stands for Motivation, Impression, XX Chromosomes. MIXX debuted on May 3rd, 2016, with the single “Oh Ma Mind.” They released their first single album Oh Ma Mind on May 2nd, 2016, and held their debut stage with the title track of the same title on May 3rd, 2016, on SBS MTV’s The Show. MIXX disbanded on March 17th, 2017, due to the THAAD issue between China and Korea along with the Chinese members returning to their home country. Oh ma Mind

MIXX debuted in May 2016 with the song titled “Oh Ma Mind.” This song is about a girl who doesn’t want her lover to leave because she wants to always be beside him and talk with him.

Love Is A Sudden

This song is about someone who suddenly meets somebody that makes their heart flutter like love at first sight. This song was released on January 5th, 2017.

Disbandment

MIXX suddenly disbanded after canceling their comeback and later announcing their disbandment due to the THAAD (Terminal High Altitude Area Defense) issue between China and South Korea.

Due to an exclusive report from Segye Ilbo, MIXX recently disbanded and the 3 Chinese members of the group: Liyah, Arie, and Hana, returned to their motherland along with the THAAD problem.

For the record, MIXX was managed by 2 agencies, one in Korea and one in China. According to this THAAD issue, the Chinese agency suddenly withdrew their investment in the group making it difficult for MIXX to continue promoting their music and career.

This group had just debuted in May 2016 and had recently made a comeback. It should be noted that MIXX disbanded not even a year after their debut.

However, according to a new statement released by their Korean management, Chiko Entertainment, the issue seems more complex.

MIXX was a partnership project between two companies, Chiko Bros. (Chinese) and Chiko Entertainment (Korean).
Chiko Entertainment had been committed to the group despite the various political conflicts and they were working on bridging the situation. Chiko Bros. took a onesided decision out and took the Chinese members with them.
The Chinese side denied cooperating with Korean management, so they had to disband the group.
The Korean members Heeu and Mia have been left out due to their contracts penalty-free and unforeseen circumstances.

Beginning with their return to China, Chiko Bros. was updating fans on Weibo that MIXX will re-debut as a trio and are already in the planning stages of their domestic comeback. MIXX’s Chinese fan-base took this information just for the sake of MIXX fans and they have been asking them to keep supporting the group.

Latest News

In 2018, according to a source, there will be a new girl group scheduled to debut called Ho1iday and two of the members are HeeJu of MyB and Mia of Mixx. This issue is not official yet and information about when the girl group will debut is also not available yet. But they already have introduced each member in a solo choreography video.
