NewJeans First Debut on August 1st, 2022
New Jeans is a five-member group under ADOR, an independent label of HYBE. The group’s name is based on the play on the word ‘New Genes’, which means that their group has a status as the new-age K-Pop group and has a double meaning. The members are very diverse since there are Korean members, Korean-Australian, and even Vietnamese-Australian members.
On July 22, 2022, New Jeans released a pre-debut single, “Attention” and revealed the five members at one time at the same time. Following the success of “Attention”, the group officially debuted on August 1st, 2022, with the release of their mini album “New Jeans” and served “Cookie” as its title track.
New Jeans successfully drew attention and received many positive supports from the public, then they also smashed the record for highest girl group debut in Gaon chart history with over 400,000 pre-orders. Moreover, the fact that New Jeans members are very young also impressed people even more.

“Attention”
“Attention” music video somehow looks like a movie where the members went to a club together and met a guy. In the other scenes, various colors somehow make the members’ charms look even brighter, wildly when NewJeans members dance with the stadium as the background!
“Cookie”
Way more different compared to “Attention”, the “Cookie” music video looks even more minimalistic yet focuses on the members’ performance. The colors aren’t as vibrant as in the “Attention” music video, but it still looks as fantastic as ever!
