Dong Sicheng, better known by his stage name WinWin, is a singer, rapper, and dancer from China. WinWin was born on October 28th, 1997, in Zhejiang, China. WinWin is a member of the boy band NCT, from SM Entertainment. WinWin entered into 3 different NCT sub-units, NCT 127, NCT U, and WayV (NCT Chinese Unit). WinWin is a character in the 3rd NCT SM teaser titled 7th sense, performing a traditional Chinese dance. On April 9th, 2016, NCT U made their first appearance in China at the 16th Music Feng Yun Bang Awards, which also included members from China, namely Kun, and WinWin.

Absent From Promoting NCT 127’s New Album, WinWin Ready To Debut With NCT China
NCT 127 finally returned with the latest single from their repackaged album, Regulate on Thursday, November 22nd, 2018.
Since the release of the first teaser, fans were worried because one of the members of NCT 127, WinWin could not be seen from the start. Related to this, SM Entertainment, as the agency that oversees NCT 127, finally gave an explanation.
Through its official website, SM Entertainment revealed that WinWin has a job in China that cannot be abandoned, so he cannot participate in the promotional activities. SM Entertainment asked all fans to understand this and continue to support NCT 127’s latest single, “Simon Says.”
Meanwhile, NCT 127 will certainly carry out promotions on the weekly music program for the single “Simon Says.”
NCT 127 Will Hold Their First Concert Tour Without WinWin
NCT 127 will soon hold their first concert tour since making their debut. The tour titled ‘NEO CITY – The Origin’ was opened with concerts on January 26th and 27th, 2019, at the Olympic Gymnastics Arena, Seoul, South Korea.
This activity certainly attracted the attention of fans, because this will be the first time for Taeyong and other members to take part in a concert tour. Previously, there had never been a sub-unit from the NCT that held a similar activity. However, unfortunately, NCT 127’s first concert tour will not be held in full formation. WinWin, an NCT 127 member from China, is unable to take part in this tour due to scheduled activities.
Prior to this, WinWin was also absent from the promotion of NCT127’s first repackage album, Regulate, because he had to complete his activities in China. Although SM Entertainment, as NCT’s agency, did not specify the activities in question, some have already made speculations that this is because WinWin is actually preparing to make a debut with the latest NCT sub-unit, NCT China.
“In order to be able to focus on scheduled Chinese activities, as we explained in the previous announcement, NCT 127 member WinWin will not participate in NCT 127’s first concert tour,” said SM Entertainment on its official website, as quoted by Soompi.
“While delivering this unfortunate news to NCT 127 fans, we ask for your understanding. We will work hard and return to greet you with improvements in the future,” they wrote again.
Thus, in this concert, there will only be nine NCT 127 members who shall entertain fans, namely Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark, also Haechan. Even so, the audience can still look forward to the stage performances of the latest NCT 127 songs, including “Simon Says” that was just released in November, last year.
NCT China Sub-Unit Immediately Debuts With ‘WayV’
After a long wait, finally, the NCT sub-unit in China will soon debut.
SM Entertainment had indeed announced plans to debut a new NCT-based sub-unit based in China.
Quoted from Soompi, Monday (December 31st, 2018) the NCT sub-unit will debut under the name ‘WayV’ and will begin activities in January 2019.
WayV has a total of 7 members, namely Kun, WinWin, Ten, and Lucas who previously participated in other NCT activities, as well as XiaoJun, Yangyang, and Hendery, who are the most recent members of SM Rookies. The sub-unit with 7 members will promote both inside and outside of China, also there is still a possibility for them to join other NCT activities. Meanwhile, WayV activities will be overseen by Label V as a Chinese agency in collaboration with SM Entertainment.
WayV members will be introduced one by one through a teaser video that will be released through official social media.
WinWin Revealed The Desire To Act In The Latest WayV Teaser Ahead Of Debut
Following Lucas, Yangyang, Ten, and Hendery, now WinWin appears in the latest WayV individual video ahead of his debut. This video is titled “Dream Launch Plan.”
In a video released on January 8th, WinWin revealed to other members that he wanted to be an actor, a desire that first appeared when he played a character during school. Taking the theme of acting, WinWin appeared to pose with the director’s clapperboard and pretended to practice dialogue from a script.
WayV is the latest Chinese group under SM Entertainment. WayV consists of four NCT members (Kun, WinWin, Ten, and Lucas) and new members who were previously included in SM Rookies, Xiao Jun, Yangyang, and Hendery. They will carry out promotions inside and outside of China and might even join the upcoming NCT activities.
