After 2NE1 was disbanded, CL decided to keep his career as a solo performer. Even now, the ability as a solo artist of CL actually mesmerizes netizens. In August 2009, CL also teamed up with label-mates G-Dragon from Big Bang and Teddy Park from 1TYM for the tune”The Leaders” on G-Dragon’s first solo record Heartbreaker.

In August, after finishing the I Don’t Care promotion, 2NE1 members released their solo single. CL collaborated with Minzy for the song”Please Don’t Go”, and at the end of November, this tune was ranked number 6 to the Gaon Chart. CL’s first solo single,”The Baddest Female”, was released on May 28, 2013. On October 15, 2014, YG Entertainment announced that CL intended to debut as a solo artist in the United States the following year. On November 21, 2015, CL released a solo single titled “Hello Bitches”.

There’s also controversy and criticism about the manner and the tune of CL’s appearance. Netizens said she is hot with her swimsuit costume. The Korea Communications Standards Commission (KOCSC) has sent an official note of firm’information’ into SBS Inkigayo for permitting CL to put on a swimsuit outfit on point.

SBS Kim Yong Kwon PD cautioned,”We should have regulated it better, but we were advised by people at their workplace [YG Entertainment] they put a lot of work to her outfit, therefore I cannot regulate it ardently. I think that was wrong. I have no justification to make.” CL’s representatives said that she will wear a coat on top of her outfit if allowed, however, there was a problem.” There was a difficulty. But, as soon as an agency is too powerful, there is a limitation to how much we can say.” In addition, he added, “Since a few weeks before, we’ve been having musicians send us the outfits that they intend to wear through photographs because of their (sexual) controversies.

Until today CL nor YG Entertainment has provided an official clarification concerning this situation. Some CL fans were frustrated and asked to eliminate the”recalled” part of their Quranic pronunciation. Forum Onehallyu has also held a survey linked to the destiny of MTBD.

The majority of users agree that YG should get rid of the pronunciation that is troubled but that there is no requirement to pull the song. Many can make it difficult for 2NE1 or even CL to hold concerts in countries.

It seems like the trail that is unedited made its way to CL’s functionality in Los Angeles, and a few fans were appalled that she performed the controversial track again. Some have begun demanding explanation and an apology on her Instagram and trending hashtags.

“Hello Bitches” (2015)

CL continued her comeback as a solo artist with the song”Hello Bitches”. The song, originally a cooperation using M.I.A., was titled”Asian Bitches” but was renamed with CL saying “the theme was too categorized. You can’t sing along with’Asian Bitches’, you understand?”  Concerning the tune, CL told Noisy’s Jakob Dorof “It is not an official single but more of a road single.”

Unfortunately, the controversy again became a conversation for the tune “Hello Bitches”. The K-pop star apologized and promised to remedy the situation for incorporating verses in the Quran to a tune on her Hello Bitches Tour after facing criticism. “To anyone I have offended, I apologize for my mistake,” wrote CL.” I take responsibility for not realizing this earlier.

My intention was never to use this version.” The first version of”MTBD” was switched out for CL’s performance in Dallas on November 6, 2015, and the subsequent displays in Atlanta, Chicago, and Toronto also featured the updated track.

The song originally uttered outrage when it was released as a solo track by CL from 2NE1’s 2014 record, Crush, sparking accusations of appropriation and racism directed at the group, its own organization and K-pop as a whole. After lovers and the Muslim Federation demanded the song’s redaction because of its affront.

CL’s agency, YG Entertainment, altered the tune so that digital copies and performances of”MTBD” no further contained the Quran verses. The resurgence of the problematic version of”MTBD” during the Hello Bitches Tour angry many who believed CL and her staff should have researched controversies linked to the song.

In her apology, CL also composed they have swapped out”MTBD” for its alternative version and that she had asked her engineer to “Delete the old version completely and eternally.”
