After 2NE1 was disbanded, CL decided to keep his career as a solo performer. Even now, the ability as a solo artist of CL actually mesmerizes netizens. CL’s agency, YG Entertainment, altered the tune so that digital copies and performances of”MTBD” no further contained the Quran verses. The resurgence of the problematic version of”MTBD” during the Hello Bitches Tour angry many who believed CL and her staff should have researched controversies linked to the song.
In her apology, CL also composed they have swapped out”MTBD” for its alternative version and that she had asked her engineer to “Delete the old version completely and eternally.”
