AOA’s Hyejeong and actor Ryu Ui-hyun are confirmed to be dating! In response to the reports, Hyejeong’s agency FNC Entertainment shared through an official statement, “They got to know each other while filming for their drama in December and have been seeing each other with positive feelings since early this year.”
On April 8th, news outlet Newsen relayed words from an inside source that Hyejeong and Ryu Ui-hyun, co-stars of the web drama Is Lovesickness Refundable? (literal title), have been dating for five months.
According to the source, the two officially began their relationship in December 2018. The source continued, “The two have been freely enjoying dates at popular restaurants in the Gangnam District and a shopping complex in Hanam of Gyeonggi Province where Ryu Ui-hyun resides.”
In response, Hyejeong’s agency FNC Entertainment said, “We will respond after checking with [Hyejeong].” Ryu Ui-hyun’s agency also stated that they will confirm with the actor.
Hyejeong debuted as an AOA member in 2012 with the single album Angel’s Story, after which she has been actively promoting as both an idol member and an actress. She was recently confirmed to join KBS’s upcoming drama Perfume. Ryu Ui-hyun is a rookie actor who appeared in the popular web drama A-TEEN.

Lee Kwang-soo has recently caused quite a commotion among netizens of online communities with his recent remark towards AOA’s member Hyejeong. To get straight to it, the participants of the show were all playing a game where they had to find out which one of them was a “zombie in disguise.” Naturally, of course, when it’s a game about suspecting everyone around you and playing mind games, some of the participants are bound to be tricked by others.
At one point during the game, Lee Kwang-soo called the K-Pop idol a flower snake, which can sometimes be interpreted as a gold digger. The term flower snake in Korean, however, has somewhat of a broader meaning than “gold digger.” It’s because a flower snake is usually a woman who manipulates someone or a situation to get what she wants, and it may not necessarily be money or valuable things. But nevertheless, some viewers of the show were displeased with his choice of words.
Other netizens have argued in his defense saying that he was saying it to entertain people and to point out that he didn’t trust her in the game. Often times in variety shows, a lot of the participants would playfully joke around with each other in order to entertain the audience. One netizen claimed that if a female participant called a male participant something similar, there would have been petitions filed all over South Korea to have her removed from the show. Others have stated that the show hasn’t changed in any way and neither has the participant’s attitude, and that people are suddenly over-reacting to nothing.

After being involved in an illegal pornographic video scandal, various videos of CNBLUE’s Jonghyun’s interaction with several members of the girl group have returned to warm conversation among fans.
Yoona and Jonghyun’s threatening interaction video went viral because Jonghyun was found trying to touch Yoona’s butt at one of the music shows back in 2015. Now, a threatening video that shows Jonghyun sexual harassing AOA’s Hyejeong also went viral.
The video shows Jonghyun trying to touch Hyejeong’s chest from behind. Hyejeong herself looked uncomfortable and immediately tried to brush away Jonghyun’s hand. The video immediately aroused the anger of fans and reaped a lot of scathing criticism directed at Jonghyun.
“The way he tried to touch Hyejeong was really disgusting,” wrote a fan. “The fact that I’ve been supporting that man for years is really disappointing,” wrote another fan.

Dating Rumors with 41 Years Old Magician
News reports claimed AOA’s Hyejeong is dating the 41-year-old magician Choi Hyun-woo, but FNC Entertainment denied the claims. AOA‘s Hyejeong was reported to be dating the 41-year-old magician Choi Hyun-woo, who is 16 years older than her.
News reports revealed a video of the two sitting together at a cafe, supposedly enjoying a date together. They claimed that the two shared sweet skinship as they talked for endless hours, Hyejeong being the cute girlfriend with lots of aegyo and Choi Hyun-woo being the considerate boyfriend. The couple apparently dated frequently at Choi Hyun-woo’s apartment, as he would drive her home afterward.
They had apparently become friends while starring together in Magic Controls, a TV drama that aired last year. They had “overcome their large age difference to become lovers.” However, AOA’s agency FNC Entertainment has denied the dating rumors, clarifying that they only contacted each other as close friends. “It’s true that AOA’s Hyejeong and Choi Hyun-woo the magician became friends after starring in the same TV show together, but they currently don’t contact each other frequently. From what we understand, the video was taken back in January but they are not dating right now,” said FNC Entertainment
News reporters have reached out to Choi Hyun-woo for a statement as well, but his phone is apparently turned off.
