Chang-min’s Relationship with DBSK’s Yun-ho
In an interview, Chang-min said that he and DBSK’s Yun-ho are often described as a married couple of more than 10 years. He said that their relationship was like the drama Love and War. Even though they are not a man and a woman, they have interchanging feelings of mortal hatred and love for each other. That was the reason why he found Love and War relatable as he watched it.
In another interview, DBSK’s Yun-ho said that it is true that he and Chang-min have different personalities, but they have the same value. When he looked at Chang-min, he felt as if he was looking in a mirror. Sometimes he saw himself, sometimes he saw something that he realized he should learn from Chang-min. He felt that they need to move forward together. He admitted that he occasionally gets upset with Chang-min, but it was not easy for someone to remain quietly and steadfastly by one’s side. As a friend with whom he shared that kind of relationship up until now, he is very grateful to Chang-min.
After being discharged, DBSK’s Chang-min shyly admitted that he had been such a harsh and cold junior to Yun-ho and thought that he should be better to him. He said that it was only when they were apart that he realized the importance of family, friends, Yun-ho, and their fans. He promised that he would be really good to Yun-ho from then on. DBSK’s Yun-ho replied that when they were apart, he thought of Chang-min even more and said that Chang-min is a precious person for him.
Chang-min’s Military Service
On July 7th, 2015, SM Entertainment confirmed that DBSK’s Chang-min would be enlisting to active duty sometime before the end of the year, promising a comeback as the complete two member DBSK after two years. On the same date, Chang-min applied to the Military Police to fulfill his compulsory national service. DBSK’s Yun-ho enlisted first on July 21st, 2015, as it was his last year to enlist.
The news about Chang-min’s enlistment surprised many fans, as he still had another two years until he had to enlist. Many are suggesting that he applied to the police forces in order to move his enlistment date up so that DBSK could make a comeback as soon as possible as a team.
DBSK’s Chang-min was inducted into the Republic of Korea Armed Forces as a conscripted policeman on November 19th, 2015. He enlisted in the army together with Super Junior’s Si-won. He received five weeks of basic training at the Chungnam Nonsan Military Training Camp and was the leader of his squad. He had completed his 21 months of mandatory service and was honorably discharged from the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on August 18th, 2017.

Chang-min’s Latest News
At the end of 2018, Chang-min made a donation of 50 million won to help children from low-income households ahead of Christmas. The donation was used to provide heating for 125 children.
At the beginning of January 2019, it is reported that DBSK’s Chang-min will be returning to I Live Alone. In his upcoming appearance, he will be traveling to Jeju Island with his close friend EXO’s Xiumin. The broadcast date for his upcoming episode has not been decided yet.
