A lot of fans were sorry when Joo Hak-nyeon was eliminated and didn’t make it to the final. All the same, it didn’t stop his journey to become an idol and find another path, as he came back to his agency, Cre.ker Entertainment, and prepared for his debut later.

Joo Hak-nyeon’s Scandal

When he was one of the contestants on Produce 101 season 2, one of the that got him attention from the viewers and fans was that he seemed greedy and was making mistakes on stage.

Viewers were pretty uncomfortable about Joo Hak-nyeon’s attitude while he was practicing for Never. He was moved into the Open team and removed Takada Kenta’s position from being the center of the team, as he was voted to be a center. After that, he seemed to have trouble following the choreography and the other fellow, Kang Dong-ho, had to tutor him just to make sure he could sing his part properly.

The group is finally had a meeting after being evaluated by the producers, since the result wasn’t what they hoped. Joo Hak-nyeon kept making mistakes with the dancing and Kang Daniel pointed out that he had a serious problem since he was a center of the group. Kang Dong-ho had a similar reaction. He agreed that Joo Hak-nyeon hadn’t improved, while they needed to perform within 3 days. Takada Kenta also said that Joo Hak-nyeon didn’t practice enough, since he kept missing the choreography.

Joo Hak-nyeon had some attitude about his stage performances. He always said that he did well, even though he made the most mistakes among the group’s members, and the viewers were shocked at the way he talked about himself and his performance.

These pictures show one of the mistakes Joo Hak-nyeon made during his performance on stage, which made the viewers so frustrated:

The left one is a picture their practice, while the one on the right is the group’s actual performance on stage. You can clearly see that Joo Hak-nyeonk is standing right in front of Kim Yong-guk and blocking his spot as the center.

Many viewers were disappointed with Joo Hak-nyeon’s performance, as he kept making mistakes every time he teamed up to perform on stage. He had a similar problem with one of the other contestants, Hong Eun-ki, for which he ended up being attacked by his fans.

Joo Hak-nyeon didn’t make a great performance. When he should be performing with charisma and serious stage presence, he did it by smiling all over and even blowing a kiss, which it wasn’t a concept of the performance at all. He was also accused of having a greedy attitude, since he really wanted to be the center of the group even though he was still lacking of talent and didn’t take enough time to practice the dance moves.
