Jung Jun-hyuk in YG’s Treasure Box
There were several moments where Jung Jun-hyuk gained attention during the show. The first one was during Episode 2. After the groups’ performances in the monthly assessment, it was time for the individual ones. The assessment was based on skills. The best rapper from each team would battle against each other. Jung Jun-hyuk stood up as a Treasure C representative. Jun-hyuk went after Choi Hyun-suk (Treasure A) who received negative comments. The main producer asked him about his rap lyrics. Jun-hyuk said that the lyrics are about how he is the best. The main producer suddenly asked Hyun-suk to come forward and stand facing Jun-hyuk. The main producer told Jun-hyuk that when he raps, he should tell Hyun-suk that he’s the best. The other trainees were puzzled by the unexpected situation.

The main producer also mentioned that Jun-hyuk is a great rapper despite the scenario he put him in. He added that Jun-hyuk raps as much as he expects. At the end of the day, Jung Jun-hyuk ranked first for the monthly assessment.
The next memorable moment was in Episode 8, during the elimination round 1:1 survival match. Jung Jun-hyuk was paired with Choi Hyun-suk. They performed the last and were considered as a big match as they both are talented rappers. They had good chemistry and did great teamwork. The main producer gave them a good response and complimented their performance. He even asked them to make a duo rap instead as they have great chemistry. However, it was an elimination round and one of them had to be eliminated. The main producer announced that the winner is Hyun-suk. It meant that Jun-hyuk was eliminated from the show. In the behind the scenes, Jun-hyuk couldn’t hold back his tears and told Hyun-suk that he did well. After sending Jun-hyuk off, Hyun-suk also burst into tears, feeling bad for his teammate who trusted and followed him.
