Kentaro Sakaguchi at the 2019 MAMA
BTS also enlivened the Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) which took place at Nagoya Dome on December 4th, 2019. The prestigious music awards event is still held in Japan even though relations between Japan and Korea are still a little heated up.
BTS took home a total of 9 wins including 4 Daesangs or the highest award for Album of the Year, Worldwide Icon of the Year, Song of the Year, and Artist of the Year. One of the presenters who presented the trophy to BTS was actor Kentaro Sakaguchi who is known for his resemblance to Seo Kang-joon.
Kentaro Sakaguchi awarded BTS with the Best Dance Performance award – Male Group and members rushed to the stage. J-Hope seemed very happy to see Kentaro because they really knew each other closely.
After BTS was awarded the trophy, there was a bit of chaos about who took the trophy and who took the microphone to give the victory speech. In the midst of confusion, Jungkook mistook Kentaro as a BTS member and poked him.

When Kentaro turned around, he was just as surprised by Jungkook’s hand poking his shoulder. While the youngest member of BTS looked panicked because of poking the wrong person.
Kentaro immediately shifted Jungkook who was in panic mode to join his group-mates. But Jungkook still looked panicked, making fans exasperated.
“Jungkook would have thought Kentaro was V because their hair was a bit similar, hahaha,” commented fans. “Jungkook immediately panicked when he realized that he was poking the wrong person. He was very cute,” added another fan. “Jungkook’s reaction is very funny, hahaha,” concluded the other.

Kentaro Sakaguchi’s Girlfriend
As you all already know, Kentaro Sakaguchi is dating his co-star from the drama Love That Makes You Cry (Itsuka Kono Koi Wo Omoidashite Kitto Naite Shimau), Mitsuki Takahata since 2016.
Their four-year relationship is doing well these days, they live on different floors in the same apartment building. They have also been able to go back and forth openly between buildings, without caring about media opinions. It has been confirmed that Kentaro Sakaguchi introduced Mitsuki Takahata to his parents and older sister, and they are’ dating with the intention of getting married.
Takahata and Sakaguchi reported dating from January 2016 prior to both of them starring in the drama Love That Makes You Cry and the NHK TV series Toto Nee-chan, this led to the development of love. In the fall of 2017, Takahata moved to a tower apartment where Sakaguchi already lived, and started “cohabitation in apartments” in separate rooms. Sakaguchi and Takahata, including other actors from the drama, Kura Arimura, Kengo Takara, Takahiro Nishijima, and Aoi Morikawa, were talked about in the public because of their closeness. Group photos taken together are often posted on the actors’ Instagram accounts.
It is said that they finally started living together in a luxury apartment building in a quiet residential area. Takahata is still busy, with the release of the movie Love Is Difficult For An Otaku on February 7th, 2020. Recently, information that is worrisome surfaced. A break-up rumor with Sakaguchi was reported.
“They are both busy with drama series and movies, so they both wanted time to learn the lines and space to be alone. Sometimes they came home late at night, and sometimes they wanted to sleep early in preparation for the location in the early morning. Yes, it was just right to live in a separate room,” said Sakaguchi’s acquaintance.
They can meet each other as soon as they want to, but they seemed perfect in a life where they did not bind each other.
However, in recent months, they have disappeared from the apartment. Finally, there was information that Takahata had moved and they have broken up. According to an acquaintance, the rumors are not true.
“Around July last year, Mr. Sakaguchi moved first. The new home is a 3LDK with more than 160 square meters in a super luxury apartment. Ms. Takahata now lives in the same room.”
Until now, the two who did not choose to live in the same room have finally decided to live together, but it seems that there were various thoughts before reaching that decision.
“Actually, even after moving in last summer, both of them haven’t canceled their previous rooms. It may be like a “trial period” to be able to live together. Just Mr. Sakaguchi seems to have decided this year and plans to close the previous room soon,” said Sakaguchi’s acquaintance.
He seems to be making steady progress toward the goal.
