Kim Jun-ho’s Marriage
Kim Jun-ho married Kim Eun-young, a South Korean musical actress, in March, 2006. Despite being married, the couple was living separately, with Kim Jun-ho living in South Korea and Kim Eun-young living in the Philippines. Kim Eun-young moved there alone to start a business in 2007. Unsurprisingly, the marriage ended in divorce and the couple never had any children.
Kim Jun-ho’s Divorced
Unfortunately, after almost 12 years of marriage, Kim Jun-ho and Kim Eun-young decided to got divorced. The decision was announced in January, 2018, Kim Jun-ho was the first one to confirm the divorce. Shortly before the divorce announcement, some of his fans were already thinking that there was something unusual about the marriage.
In 2016, on the television show I Live Alone, Kim Jun-ho talked about his daily life, and also about his long distance relationship with his wife at that time. Kim Jun-ho asked his wife what she would do, if not have a child? His wife answered that she wanted to study abroad and wanted to start a business, and that’s why Kim Jun-ho sent her to Philippines. Even though they lived separately, Kim Eun-young often visited Kim Jun-ho in South Korea.
It’s not that unusual in South Korea to have a married couple live apart from each other. The most common arrangement is that a husband might live alone in South Korea, while the wife and their child live abroad for education reasons. The reason some of Kim Jun-ho’s fans thought that his marriage was a little bit unsual was because the couple didn’t have any children.
Eventually, though, the two of them decided to get a divorce. Kim Jun-ho’s agency, JDB Entertainment, confirmed the news, but said that even though they weren’t married anymore, they still supported and respected each other.
