Fiestar’s Disbandment
After gaining a lot of attention and meeting all of their fans, unfortunately Fiestar was disbanded in May 2018. The news was revealed by Fiestar’s agency. The main reasons why the group disbanded was because most of the members’ contracts had expired, they were Yezi, Linzy, Hyemi, and Jei. Cao Lu’s contract remained in force until the end of May 2018 at that time, then her future was still being discussed along with their agency, as well.
Since the contract of most of Fiestar’s members expired, they weren’t being renewed. Meanwhile, Linzy moved to Will Entertainment to pursue a career as an actress. So did Jei, who moved to SSW Entertainment to became an actress, as well. The news of Fiestar’s disbandment surprised the fans, after the group had already spent six years in the entertainment industry.
However, after Fiestar’s disbandment, Yezi still continued her career as a solo singer. Moroever, after Yezi’s appearance through Unpretty Rapstar 2, people have been recognizing her more than before!
Yezi Joined a New Agency
After Fiestar’s disbandment and not renewing her contract with her old agency, Fave Entertainment, Yezi decided to sign up with a new agency in July 2019! The new agency was JG Star, which is also assosiated with other artists such as Lee Jang-woo, Ha Yoo-bi, Junik, and many more. Not only that, Yezi also reportedly signed up for an exclusive contract with JG Star.
It was quickly proven that with a new agency, Yezi could still command the spotlight with her rapper skills. Under JG Star, Yezi was busy preparing her comeback project as a solo singer. JG Star also revealed that they would give Yezi their full support, and welcomed her as a new family member under JG Star, as well!

What has Yezi been up to lately? Let’s find out together here! Not long ago, in early January 2020, Yezi released a new single as her comeback after her new contract with her new agency! The single was titled My Gravity, which also came up with a music video. It was officially released on January 30, 2020!
My Gravity was also the latest comeback from Yezi after she was provided us with a single, an official soundtrack for the drama Are You Human Too? a couple years ago.
