All You Need to Know About Boy Group 24K
24K is a boy band that has been formed by Choeun Entertainment back in 2012. The first meaning of their band name at the time of their debut was “2 dancing machines and 4 main vocals,” but later it changed to “like gold, to shine forever.” The group went through many transformations throughout the years until finally, it continued as a seven-member band. However, currently, the band is active as a six-member band due to one of its members, Ki-su, being on a hiatus because of his obligatory military duty. The band also had a subunit called 4K, which consists of Cory, Ki-su, Sung-oh, and Seok-june as its members.
Upon debut, 24K has made music in various genres. When you listen to their EP Hurry Up, you can notice that the record contains various genres on its tracks, such as pop, trance, dubstep, and industrial. Meanwhile, in their second EP U R So Cute, there are elements of hip-hop and electronic sounds that have been incorporated into the tracks.

Ki-su is the main vocalist of 24K who was born on October 2nd, 1990. He used to attend Baekseok Arts University, but eventually had to drop out because of his absences. He was a trainee for 2 years before he finally made his debut. He also used to participate in YG Entertainment’s survival show MIXNINE, but didn’t manage to pass the auditions. He likes to take care of the members, and is even considered as the ‘mom’ of the group. It has been said that when he is not on stage, he is shyer around people than when he is on stage. His best friend from the band is former member Cory.
He likes watching movies, playing the piano, and bowling. His favorite music genre is R&B. He also said that he loves dogs, especially the Pomeranian breed. He released his first solo album titled Sweet Lie back on December 22nd, 2017, under the name Soo. On May 11th, 2018, it was reported that he had decided to fulfill his mandatory military service.

Sung-oh is the lead vocalist of 24K who was born on January 8th, 1991, and was a trainee for a year before he made his debut. He used to attend Dong-ah Institute of Media and Arts. He describes himself as a romantic, a bit of a scaredy-cat, and a fashionista. However, the other members have said that he used to be chubby and had no sense of fashion before they made their debut. He loves to play basketball and play the piano. His favorite group is JYJ, while his role models are Kim Hyun-joong and Lee Seung-gi.
He is used to be on hiatus because he dislocated his shoulder. However, in November 2017, the company announced that after he has recovered from the injury he will be completing his military service. In January 2019, it was reported that Sung-oh is back from his mandatory military service and is producing an album for 24K.

Jeong-uk is the main vocalist as well as the main dancer of 24K who comes from Busan. He started dancing when he was 15 years old and his specialty is popping. He also has role models, which are Michael Jackson, Jay Park, and Steve Jobs. He has several tattoos on his body, including a gun-shaped tattoo on his stomach. Most of his tattoos are on his arms, and one of them says, “Born again still your son.”
Jeong-uk is a part of Poppin Hyunjoon’s PAC dance crew. Also, just like Ki-su, he also used to participate in YG Entertainment’s survival show MIXNINE but didn’t pass the auditions. He was also a contestant of Dancing9. He used to often compete with former member Daeil as they wanted to become the best dancers of the band, and Jeong-uk said that he wants to take the title “best dancer” from Daeil.
