Announcement of the group debut was shown during their MBC’s Music show called ‘Making the Star’, on April 1st, 2012. And during that time, they were temporarily being called as ‘DSP Boyz’. DSP Media began to revealed the member one boy one starting from 17 April, on their YouTube account.

Then on April 24th, DSP Media announced the group name as A-Jax. The name was a references of a mythological Greek hero, that helps bringing a victory to the Greeks during the ‘Trojan War’. Around May 15th, the company released a song called ‘Never Let Go’ with a appearance of KARA’s Hara. Later on, this music video was announced as A-Jax’s prologue song.
