D1VERSE Become Back Dancer of ONEUS
If ONEUS debut song is titled Valkyrie then the next song Twilight makes a dark impression in the music or video, LIT is really different. LIT’s music makes anyone who hears want to raise their hands, sing and dance. What makes it unique, LIT presents energetic music with traditional concepts and string instruments. When playing LIT, anyone who hears will immediately go crazy over the music. What’s more, the video clip blends traditional vibe with modern concepts. This concept has not been seen for a long time since VIXX’s Shangri-La’s music video.
Seeing the traditional concept at the beginning of the LIT’s music video, ONEUS seems to take a background from the past when people were not preoccupied with technology, digital music, and city noise. That period made people able to dance from the heart and see the bright moon. ONEUS combines many aspects such as backgrounds, scenes, clothing, and even shooting to display its concept through visuals. Traditional concept elements can also be seen from paper fans or murals depicting remnants of Korean history. The traditional dancer who also appeared towards the end was the right collaboration in the LIT’s music video.
Indeed, the innovation might explode or even fail for some idol groups. There is no artist who can satisfy everyone, it could be that some fans want ONEUS to try more general music. But, of course it’s good to experiment from musicality to concepts, especially when innovation is accepted.
Beside that, on LIT‘s music video it can be clearly seen that there are a number of back dancers who highlighted their choreography in the comeback released in 2019. This also reminded many people of the interesting facts from D1VERSE that they had appeared as back dancers from ONEUS who were seniors from their labelmate, RBW Entertainment. In LIT’s music video you can show some back dancers wearing black traditional clothes who were dancing in one scene with ONEUS.
Not only that, D1VERSE has also captured their dance practice moments by doing a choreography of ONEUS’ LIT’s which is very energetic and uploaded the video on Youtube. This proves that D1VERSE practiced hard to memorize the diverse ONEUS choreography. Not only that, as a back-up dancer from ONEUS, D1VERSE who at that time was still a trainee under RBW Entertainment could prove that their performance was good when several times attended and appeared as back dancer from ONEUS on music programs broadcast on tv.
It can be seen from one of ONEUS’s performances when they held their comeback stage on ‘Show! Music Core’ on October 12, 2020, they were seen carrying the same concept as in the music video with every costume and make-up and their hairstylist. Each member looks very charming especially when it’s the back dancer that appears in the middle of the performance until the end. Even though the back dancers believed to be D1VERSE’s members did not show their faces clearly, the choreography that D1VERSE presented when they were back dancers for the ONEUS’ LIT’s comeback is very much appreciated.

D1VERSE Debut Era
On December 15, 2019, released their debut music video titled Bring it Low or Chỉ Có Anh Bên Em in Vietnamese. Of course there are many who welcomed the debut of D1VERSE because they were already quite popular when they became trainees under RBW Entertainment because they also previously promoted as a back dancer from ONEUS. When it debuted, D1VERSE had 5 members including Tran Binh. Their debut song titled Bring it Low has Vietnamese as the lyrics of the song.
The meaning of D1VERSE that has been explained by their agency is a combination of ‘Diverse’ and 1 which shows that the diversity of each member who comes together to unite and become a solid team despite having different colors. This means that in the future there will be other members recruited from other parts of the country and of course they will also focus on a career as a boy group in South Korea. During the promotion by introducing the concept of D1VERSE, they are also active in uploading some content on their Youtube channel such as dance practice, fanchant, video choreography, Christmas practice dance version and many more.
