Olltii is Back!!! Show Me The Money 6

Olltii returned to Show Me The Money 6 as the contestant. This season was really interesting, with a mix of returning contestants, veteran rappers, and up and coming rappers participating in the competition. It was advantageous for Olltii because people were already familiar with his name. The first episode of this show was aired on June 30, 2017.

Olltii passed the first round and second rounds. In the second round, he had to rap for one minute and then the Judges decided whether he could go on to the next round or not. At least one Judge had to give him a pass so he could move to the next round. Luckily, all the judges give Olltii pass, except the DoPark team. Check out his amazing rap skill, here!

The next round was a 1-on-1 rap battle. This year there are new rules, where the rappers will be randomly selected one at a time to choose their opponents, but back then they could only pick from a group of contestants who said they could beat them. If you beat your opponent you could move to the next round. People had high expectation of Olltii for that round and he passed the round easily. No wonder, since he had both skill and experience. Check out his rap battle vs Day!

The next round was a cypher round. The producer chose seven rappers to do freestyle rapping and the winner got the privilege to choose whose team they wanted to join. Otilli’s free style rap skill was awesome!! Even the judges were amazed that his freestyle was so good! Sadly, Junoflo beat him, and he ended up in second place.

To fill up the slots of the remaining quota of the group, the producers were the ones who choose the rest of their team. The rappers could choose to reject the offer, if they wanted to. The result of this segment was that Olltii reunited with Block B’s Zico, as right now Zico was the producer for his team, FANXYCHILD, along with another producer, Dean. The members of the team were Olltii, Killagramz, Hash Swan, Young B, and Hangzoo.

Have you heard about Mnet evil editing? If you haven’t, you’ll see it here. They made Olltii be a jerk toward Hangzoo in this episode. It was shown that way, but, lucki;y, Olltii had really good friends there and they spoke up to defend Olltii, Zico said “At his interview, Olltii spoke in a mischievous tone to create tension between team members and add to the fun of the show, but that part seems to have been overly emphasized during the broadcast. Olltii is a very sociable and nice guy!!

Dean, one of his teams producers, also spoke up for Olltii. He uploaded a picture on his Instagram with caption saying, “Team Co-Dean. Jokes are jokes, let’s not misunderstand them.

Hangzoo, who was the “victim” of Olltii’s words, even wrote, “Our team. Olltii Hash Killa Young B Zico Dean Hangzoo. #TEAMCoDean#Fanxy#Sexy#YOZMGANg Also, Olltii and I are the closest people in the world. My little brother @olltii,” while Hashswan posted, “Olltii’s a nice guy!!!!”

After all this drama they gave a really cool performance. When it was time to decide who had to be eliminated, Zico and Dean decided to choose Olltii. The reason was because of a small mistake that he made on the stage, and that meant this would be his last stage on Show Me The Money 6. He failed to enter Top 16 this time. The final season of Show Me The Money, is airing this year, 2019. Again, Olltii easily passed the first round just by sending his audition clip to the be reviewed by the Judges. Moving to the second round, Olltii again got passes from all the judges but one, Swings. The judges said that Olltii was always good, which was kinda boring. Other judges said he was more aggressive than before in this second round. What do you think about that? Do you agree with the judges? Watch the performance, here!

Round three was the group challenge. The rappers were allowed to choose a beat out of 12 beats that the show prepared, and more than one group could use the same beat. Olltii chose Famous Dex’s Pick It Up and teamed up with other two rappers, Leebido and Boy Wonder, as group three. The judges would evaluate each contestant on their performance. The crew was allowed to choose the worst contestant from each rap beat to eliminate or could choose not to eliminate anyone. Luckily, Olltii passed this round. His team chose to eliminate Boy Wonder.

For crew selection, Olltii chose 40 crew with the other 26 rappers in this team. The Producers for 40 crew were Swings, Mad Clown, Kid Milli, and BOYCOLD. The next round was a 1-on-1 Crew Battle. There’s a new way to decide who will perform on the stage. The MC flipped a coin with both crew’s names written on it.

When one of the crews has been flipped, the MC would call out someone’s name from the crew, and that contestant could choose who he would do the rap battle with. After that, both of them could choose what beat that they wanted to play for their performance. Olltii won over Untell. His rap was really savage, with one of the lines being, “I pee all over you. You’re just a telephone pole“. This line drew gasps froma lot of people.

Moreover, Olltii did his freestyle without any preparation, which was pretty amazing. The judges acknowledged this stage as a battle rather than like previous performances which were more like collaborations. Check out how Olltii successfully made his opponents mad at him with his rap, here!

For the produce crew battle, both crews have to eliminate contestants until each crew has only 11 contestants remaining before the produce crew battle started. Olltii was one of the rappers who passed this elimination, so he could compete in this battle.  Each rapper from both groups took turns and did freestyle/pre-rehearsed raps under certain beats. The winning crew would advance to the next round, while the losing crew would have its producers choose 1 contestant to eliminate. Olltii appeared in second round of this battle, against his opponent, Mckdaddy, with the song Pray for Me by Kendrick Lamar (ft. The Weeknd). His crew wass beat by the BGM-v Crew, but he wasn’t the one who was eliminated in this round.

The crew song mission was similar to the previous SMTM6 team song mission. The difference was that each team’s producer divided their team into two groups, creating four teams that would perform in front of the live audience. Oltii was part of group one, of 40 crew, with YunB, Kim Seung-min, YUNHWAY, and Donutman. They performed Relieve (덜어).  Sadly, he was eliminated in this round because he repeated the same mistakes from SMTM6. Olltii was eliminated last season for forgetting lyrics, and so it went in this season, too. It’s a pity that he participated in this show three times but never went to the finals or semi-finals. Anyway, he is still a great freestyle rapper! Check out his last stage with the group, here!

Olltii and Uneducated Kid’s Diss Tracks

Olltii told this story before by before his one-minute rap performance in SMTM8. It started with Uneducated Kids asking Olltii to fight, through his Instagram story. Yes, the fight that Uneducated Kids meant was an actual fight, not a rap battle. He just suddenly asked Olltii to fight without any apparent reason. Olltii asked nicely, through Instagram direct message, why they needed to fight each other as they didn’t know each other, and Olltii asked to meet and talk instead of fighting. But Uneducated Kids still insisted on wanting a fight and refused Olltii’s invitation. Uneducated Kids wanted to fight him is because he thought Olltii was disgrace to the Korean hip-hop industry. He ended the chat with “I’ll take that as you having lost.”

A year later, Olltii heard from his friends that Uneducated Kids apparently felt sorry for what had happened. Uneducated Kid just wanted to play it off as a joke, but Olltii took it seriously. Olltii was mad and told the whole story in his Instagram Live, and even made a diss track for Uneducated Kids, with title To All the Uneducated Kid’s Too, which was released in July, 2019. Twenty minutes later, Uneducated Kids also released a diss track toward Olltii, Uneducated Kid Vs. The World.

Even though Olltii is the “victim” of this drama and just asking for an apology from the other rapper, instead he was accused of noise marketing and being scared to fight, and was mocked for not earning as much and not even being good at freestyle anymore. You can check out both of their diss tracks, here!
