Wang Ji-hye’s Appearance on SBS’ Running Man

Wang Ji-hye appeared as a guest in SBS’ Running Man episode 219. She was invited alongside other cast members of SBS’ The Birth of Beauty, Joo Sang-wook, Han Ye-seul, Han Sang-jin, and Jung Gyu-woon. This episode, the theme was Black Knight vs White Knight. During her Running Man appearance, Wang Ji-hye showed her soft, playful but witty character, which she rarely plays in her dramas.
On a face to face scene with Lee Kwang-soo, her best friend of the same age, she played the famous “Of Course” game. In the “Of Course” game, a person wins if she asks a question to an opponent and the opponent can’t say of course or answer the question. She asked a very strong question to Lee Kwang-soo about his secret romantic relationship. She asked if, during a drama shooting, Lee Kwang-soo had a romantic relationship that developed from a brother to honey. Lee Kwang-soo couldn’t answer the question because if he said, of course, people would find out that he was dating Lee Sung-kyung, his younger sister in his previous drama appearance. From this scene, viewers knew that Lee Kwang-soo once dated Lee Sung-kyung while shooting the drama It’s Okay, That’s Love.
For the market scene, both blue and red team attempted to defeat the opposite team by making the most complicated or awkward pose possible so the opposite team fails to replicate the pose. Lee Kwang-soo almost got a heart attack, he even cursed, upon seeing Wang Ji-hye’s ridiculous and scary pose. She tried to imitate a frog but instead of her stomach facing downward, her stomach and face were facing upward. To make her pose even more difficult and scary, she stuck her tongue out and opened her eyes wide. It was a reminiscence of a ghost appearing in horror movies.
