Moon Sua in the Future 2NE1 Line-up
In early July 2012, a line-up called Future 2NE1 became known as a video of them performing in the studio was uploaded by YG Entertainment. Moon Sua was one of the members who took part in the performance along with other girls.
As you can see, the members of Future 2NE1 danced powerfully, just like the spirit its predecessor once had. However, seven years have passed yet Moon Sua has not debuted, whereas the other girls have left YG Entertainment. Besides the Future 2NE1, the fans also noticed that the girls who sat in the sidelines are BLACKPINK members, which triggered some of them, asking how could the Future 2NE1 are still training in the dungeon while the ones who sat and did nothing already debuted and have already reaped success. Even so, other fans have defended BLACKPINK by saying that it must not have been their turn to perform, hence they were sitting on the floor.
Moon Sua in Unpretty Rapstar 2
In October 2015, it was reported that Moon Sua joined the second installment of Mnet’s Unpretty Rapstar along with popular celebrities, such as SISTAR’s Hyorin, Fiestar’s Yezi, and 4Minute’s Jiyoon, fellow trainee EXY who has debuted as the leader and rapper of Cosmic Girls, and other contestants.
Despite the initial allegation that Moon Sua will be favored in the show due to her status as a trainee of a big agency in South Korea, her rank was quite high because she was able to perform in the final stage with SISTAR’s Hyorin, Truedy, Kitti B, and Gummy as you can watch below.
The backlash of Moon Sua joining the show was already shut down by YG Entertainment’s clarification through Korean media outlet OSEN, “While Sua is a trainee at the agency, YG is not necessarily in a circumstance to support or give her strength. Sua is fully aware of this, that is why she is giving her best in the program.” In addition, the representative staff of the agency stated that Moon Sua will not be debuting soon and that she may or may not debut as their artist because after all, her effort will be the deciding factor.
One of Moon Sua’s most popular performances is when she performed “Who Am I” with Akdong Musician’s Suhyun in the semi-final stage. Although still young, the two of them charmed the audiences and put on a flawless performance as you can watch below.
Not only with Suhyun, but Moon Sua also did the diss and solo battle with FIESTAR’s Yezi in episode 5 and 8. Once again, Moon Sua proved the quality of her skills despite being a young trainee.
Moon Sua finished Unpretty Rapstar 2 at the fourth-ranking and gained a loyal fan club of her own.
