Since February 2016, fans have begun to get suspicious about the relationship between Red Velvet’s Seulgi and BTS’ Jimin, because they found some evidence related to the dating rumors. Their fans suspect the idols were dating each other when they attended the music awards show and took the same pose when they were being photographed.
Fans have been trying to find evidence that BTS’ Jimin and Red Velvet’s Seulgi are dating and are an official couple. Fans have found them wearing “Couple bracelets and rings” and matching clothes on the same day on their SNS (Instagram &Twitter). However, it does seem enough evidence that both idols are in fact dating.
Back then, Seulgi also once posted a selfie using a face filter that made her look like a rabbit on Red Velvet’s official Instagram account. She also wrote a caption, “Do you think I am good at winking my eyes right now?” A few minutes later, netizens found that Jimin also posted a video through the BTS official Twitter account with a similar facial expression and the caption, “I closed my eyes because I cannot do the wink.” Netizens found that their post on their social media with such similar expressions might be possible evidence that the two idols are actually dating. Fans think that the idols were exchanging a “secret message” with their expressions and gestures through the pictures.
The picture above was taken during BTS’ and Red Velvet’s appearance on the Idol Star Athletics Championship. The picture above caught fans’ attention and caused speculation that BTS’ Jimin and Red Velvet’s Seulgi are in a romantic relationship because both Seulgi and Jimin can be seen with similar expressions and hand gestures to each other.
Seulmin shippers also found the strongest evidence where Red Velvet’s Seulgi and BTS’ Jimin were seen wearing the same outfit while they were attending a music program.
They were both wearing black turtlenecks and leather jackets. Matching outfits are a ‘couple look’ that is often worn by a dating couple in South Korea.
There are also pictures and videos of both idols looking at each other for a tiny bit on stage. Many fans are saying that Seulmin is real because they have found so many similarities and evidence between them, but there are also denials, saying that their dating rumors are not proven. SBS’ Gayo Daejun 2016 was held on December 26th, 2019, at COEX, Seoul, South Korea and was attended by many idol groups and singers. Fans were really excited to watch the performance of the collaboration stage between the idols and singers. Some of K-Pop’s most talented dancers teamed up for two special stages at the 2016 SBS Gayo Daejun.
Dancer Luda Lee heads a modern dance and ballet team that includes VIXX’s N, BTS’ Jimin, Lovelyz’s Yein, TWICE’s Mina and Momo, and Cosmic Girls’ Cheng Xiao. While SHINee’s Taemin, GOT7’s Jinyoung and Yugyeom, NCT’s Ten, Red Velvet’s Seulgi, Oh My Girl’s YooA, DIA’s Eunjin, and BLACKPINK’s Lisa have formed a “street dance team” for large-scale collaborations. At the end of the stage, the dancers joined the stage and performed together.
During the performance, Seulmin shippers were blessed by the fact that both BTS’ Jimin and Red Velvet’s Seulgi were dancing side by side on the stage.
