Friends Since Elementary School

Eunhyuk once revealed that he has been Junsu’s classmate since their childhood.
Since they were still children, both of them had been dreaming of becoming a singer and dancer. During their elementary school days in Neunggok Elementary School, Eunhyuk and Junsu even created a dance crew named SRD, which stood for “Song Rap and Dance.” The dance crew consisted of Eunhyuk, Junsu, Choi Min-seok, and Hwang Tae-jun.
The dance crew was quite popular at that time, moreover, SRD even managed to appear in the local newspaper as well. Following SRD’s popularity, Eunhyuk and Junsu decided to attend the SM Entertainment audition together in 1999. Unfortunately, Eunhyuk failed the audition, while Junsu successfully made it. Nevertheless, Junsu continued to support him until the next audition took place the next year when Eunhyuk was finally able to join SM Entertainment as a trainee.
Even during their trainee days in SM Entertainment, both Eunhyuk and Junsu spent their time together and had their own struggles on the way of reaching their dream to become a singer. Since they were really close as friends, they made a promise to each other: not to drink alcohol and smoke. However, Junsu broke the promise by drinking alcohol. Their friendship, however, has proven to be a lot stronger, since regardless of the broken promise, Eunhyuk and Junsu are still good friends to this day.
Eunhyuk and Junsu are also famously known for doing silly things together. Since they were in the same agency in the past, Eunhyuk and Junsu were always looking for their victim while they were joking around. An example of their silly behavior is the time when they were disturbing Super Junior’s Leeteuk and Donghae. One of the ways in which Eunhyuk is supporting his best friend is visiting him on his drama musical. At that time, Junsu took part in a drama musical with the title December. As a surprise and support, Eunhyuk attended the drama musical and watched his best friend’s performance as well.
Then Junsu expressed his feelings about Eunhyuk’s presence on his drama musical through a tweet. He wrote a gratitude tweet for having Eunhyuk as his best friend, even though he’d rather call him by his real name, Hyuk-jae instead of Eunhyuk. But still, whenever he is with Eunhyuk, it feels as though Junsu goes back to their elementary school moments together. Such touching words, right?

My friend, even now when I’m with you, I feel like I went back to elementary school when I used to believe in Santa Claus. I always apologize and thank you.”
