WEI Kim Jun-seo Debut Era

The standard of being a rookie is no longer meaningless to the six boys who have progressed beyond the starting point IDENTITY: First Sight. In front of the current bold move, they again moved their way after making their debut.

The name of WEI has the meaning “We are one. We will make our own music as one.” The first mini-album IDENTITY: First Sight, which has the meaning of “at first sight, we felt that we were one,” was released through the music site and took the first step into the music industry.

Since their debut in October 2020, WEI have been holding the title of “rookie monster”, proving their energy by winning the APAN Choice New K-Pop Icon Award at the 2020 Apan Music Awards.

Kim Yo-han, Jang Dae-hyun, Kim Dong-han, Yoo Yong-ha, Kim Jun-seo, and Kang Seok-hwa fiercely followed the flow and finally came close to leaving an impressive starting point.

Through an interview with Hankyung, WEI’s Kim Jun-seo shared his feelings about all the members in the group that are from survival programs by saying, “What I personally felt is that everyone has grown a lot after leaving the survival program. Comparing before and after debuting, there is a significant difference in skills. I also sympathize with the difficulties during the program.”

He also talked about his personality as a goal-oriented person and said, “I haven’t heard of it directly, but I think it’s kind of like that. If you wake up in the morning and plan to ‘I have to do something today,’ your daily routine goes back to full.”

Through another interview with At Style that was held on January 24th, 2022, WEI’s Kim Jun-seo also shared his motto, “I have lived like that for so long that I forgot the reason. What I’ve realized since my debut is that my image builds up one by one and is visible to the public. But I didn’t like seeing gaps in the stacked images.”

“If I make a comment on a live broadcast one day saying I’m tired, it will be recorded and remain forever. Some people may think that I am everything. I really hate that the indolence I created in such a moment is permanently left behind,” he said.

“If it’s going to stay like this for the rest of my life, I want to show it properly, so I think it’s become a habit to do my best every moment, whether on stage, in a pictorial, or in an interview,” WEI’s Kim Jun-seo said about his motto in the future.

“As a result, I realized anew that the small best things come together and lead to my growth. Sometimes, seeing myself like this can be tiring, but when I look back later, I can realize that ‘I’ve been living so hard,’ it’s good. Also, I am working hard every day because the fans will recognize all my efforts,” he stated.

On October 8th, 2020, WEI held their debut performance that was aired on M Countdown. You can watch WEI’s Kim Jun-seo’s performance with the other members on this debut stage. The youngest member of the group seems to be enjoying the debut performance as well as the “TWILIGHT” choreography.
