Get to Know The Two Sibling-Rappers: Zico and Taewoon!
You may have known Zico well either as a former Block B member or as a solo artist. Zico is known to be a singer, songwriter, and also producer of many hit songs. Woo Ji-ho, his real name, who was born on September 14th, 1992, was an underground rapper and has released two solo albums and mixtapes. His amazing work is unquestionable that many artists have made collaborations with him either as a lead artist or featured artist like IU, HyunA, Zion.T, and many more.
But do you know that he has an older brother who is a rapper too? He is Woo Ji-seok, or known better as Taewoon, who was born two years earlier on May 11th, 1990. He debuted as a member of SPEED in 2013, a male subunit of the Co-ed School under MBK Entertainment and left the group in 2015. Both of them were trainees for Block B but Taewoon left before debuting and joined Core Contents Media (later known as MBK Entertainment) instead. Taewoon now is pursuing his solo career under the name Wuno.

Zico’s VS Taewoon’s Popularity
When they were asked about the favored child in the family, Zico revealed that because Taewoon debuted first, the attention went to him. After Zico debuted, he got the attention but when Taewoon appeared in the rap competition Show Me The Money, his parents were proud of him. “After a while, the attention came back to me,” Zico added. “Nowadays, their attentions are still on me,” followed by the waves of laughter of the hosts and Taewoon himself. Taewoon revealed that he also changed his way of talking to Zico. He used to talk informally to Zico since he is older but he felt small and the gap between them is too big so he gradually talked to him politely regardless of their age. It was a hard time for him because he felt Zico’s popularity is much larger than his even though they are both rappers.
